Gotta score to win and as usual TN can’t score. This was not, and typically has not been, a pitching issue. Bats/offense isn’t being recruited or developed. It’s a Weekly problem.

It actually seems that she’s improved this decade. Coaching solo has produced better results thus far and she’s shown that an old guard coach can adjust to the portal era. Many others have not, but she’s been able to use it to our advantage. Obviously need to figure out how to get over the hump and not sure if that is a lack of offensive talent, not a great hitting coach, or a little bit of both.
She changed from having multiple slappers in the lineup to 1. She was last to make this adjustment after seeing UF and Alabama win titles with power and sacrificing just a little speed.

Do we have enough NIL to buy more power for the lineup? Same issue with wbb.

If we won it all would have been an upset, just the facts. We had 1 senior vs a bunch of seasoned teams and she is the most studied softball pitcher in college. We got everyone back sans portal and just need to get a couple offensive weapons for DPs or to take a position.

When I watch the LV play, other teams seem to have more diversity on their teams. Don't get me wrong, I like blond girls, but maybe coach should try and recruit some hitters ?
24 team was a diverse as you can get.
White, black, Polynesian, Australian, Latino, twins..you name it Tennessee had it.

As great as she has been, she wears her emotions for the world to see when the other team goes up. Rule #1 as a pitcher is demeanor never changes up 10 or down 10.
Canady is the master of dugout cool. I have often noted how she just sits quietly, often alone, looking totally neutral. She has equally terrific mental and physical game.

I'm still wondering how this team came out of the gates to start the season knocking the cover off the ball against top teams and when SEC season started the entire lineup went into a slump that lasted the rest of the season. I know losing Knight for awhile caused Karen to have to shift the lineup some but one player out should not have effected the entire lineup hitting.

Is that on the hitting coach or what?
