She changed from having multiple slappers in the lineup to 1. She was last to make this adjustment after seeing UF and Alabama win titles with power and sacrificing just a little speed.It actually seems that she’s improved this decade. Coaching solo has produced better results thus far and she’s shown that an old guard coach can adjust to the portal era. Many others have not, but she’s been able to use it to our advantage. Obviously need to figure out how to get over the hump and not sure if that is a lack of offensive talent, not a great hitting coach, or a little bit of both.
Canady is the master of dugout cool. I have often noted how she just sits quietly, often alone, looking totally neutral. She has equally terrific mental and physical game.As great as she has been, she wears her emotions for the world to see when the other team goes up. Rule #1 as a pitcher is demeanor never changes up 10 or down 10.
