Ohio State just fired their head coach, D! Baseball thinks Georgia's coach Stricklin might be a leading candidate. Stricklin was about to get fired a few years ago so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Georgia has turned the corner as of late however I wonder if the pressure of the SEC would make Stricklin think twice about Ohio State. he came from Kent State and is from Ohio........

Scott Stricklin, Georgia
The Buckeyes have their sights set on making a splash hire, and adding Stricklin, 50, to the fold would certainly qualify as that. The Athens, Ohio, native, played college baseball at Kent State and was very successful during a nine-year stint as the head man for the Golden Flashes........
Every time someone posts a job opening I get this dreaded feeling and think, he gone 😬

Pacing themselves.

It way work out. They should score 6-8 runs with this weather forcing pitchers to stop.start.stop.start

maybe was strategic…. They knew the weather was coming and didn’t want to burn their big arm Until after the stoppage.

For the SEC, what are the "Run Rule" rules?

Length of Game. All games shall be nine innings, unless a team holds at least a 10-run lead after seven innings of play, at which time the game shall be declared complete. This provision shall apply to all games of the tournament, including the championship game. [Revised: 12/13/16]

Maybe. The coach is heading to Ohio State. So, he perhaps just said to heck with it....roll the dice.

Five runs was a big handicap, but might work out. UGA has enough bats to peck away in a super extended game against the fading bama jelly legs.

Ole miss fan just told me on Twitter that SEC rules prohibit games from starting any later than midnight. Is that true ?

Start during regular season it's 10pm, believe it's the same for tournament play. Can't resume play after midnight.

Restart Times A. In the event of rain on Friday or Saturday, no game may start after 10:00 p.m. local time or resume after midnight local time. B. In the event of a rain-delay prior to the beginning of play on Sunday, the game must begin at least two hours and thirty minutes prior to the visiting team’s scheduled departure time from the field, but no later than 5:00 p.m. local time to avoid a rain out of the game. (See Departure Time of this section.) [Revised: 10/10/19] C. If the game begins and is delayed (Sunday game), it must resume by 7:00 p.m. local time to avoid a rain out of the game. [Revised: 10/10/19]
