The Official Ole Miss @ Tennessee Series Thread (Fri. April 17 6:30PM ET) (Sat. April 18 4PM ET) (Sun 1PM ET) (All Games SECN+)

At least 3. At Ole Miss last year and Missouri and MSU this season. How did you forget last week???

EDIT: Last season UT won series against FL (sweep), @Alabama, @SC (sweep) and @Ole Miss
This season: Missouri and @MSU. For some reason, the BaseVols seem to play better on the road.
The reason for the home/road difference to me is the opponents thus far have hit the long ball better in LNS than Tennessee has recently. That was clearly to case vs LSU & OM. Today the Vols won the HR contest & thus won the game.

Yep. It’s a hitter’s park. Ya have to win the dinger race.

Good to hear. No one in the lower bowl near the UT dugout stood but for me and maybe 2 or 3 others.

What about the whole stadium? I also saw the lower bowl and it was pitiful.
I think you know I was super critical of them bringing Reece back but thankful now we have him. I am not sure where we would be without him.

The one thing I keep thinking about is if we still had Bargo and his leadership.

I think Bargo’s experience would absolutely be a +WAR on this squad.

I thought Bargo was pretty good for us and would like to have him , I’d hate to coach in this transfer portal era where everyone can move around annually , I think Bargo would have stayed given the chance
💯 Bargo would have stayed but the staff had already accepted a commitment from Brown and we didn’t have room for him after the draft.

Well, I can't speak for those there but at one point an entire row of 14 seats in MVP was empty, and another 8 across the aisle. We had a friend/business manager and his comment was they get to write off the donation but if it was his someone would be in those seats. Empty seats don't make noise.

The wind has been blowing in or a strong cross wind from RF to LF in many of the games I‘ve attended this year limiting HRs for both teams. Today it was either calm or blowing out at times around 8-10mph. I’ve been to LNS more this year where it played like a pitcher’s park—not a hitter‘s park. It’s been a bizarre season for sure.

In my book (unless there are extenuating circumstances), you always take back seniors to your team. That returning SEC experience and leadership is so important especially in this era of portal transfers, old sophomores who are draft eligible, and roster attrition.
