The junior backstop recently recorded three hits in back-to-back SEC games, doing so in the series finale at Ole Miss before following that up with another three-hit outing in UT's opening game against Kentucky on April 18. In that win over the Wildcats, the switch-hitting Peebles homered from both sides of the plate and finished with four RBIs. He continued his hot streak with another homer and a season-high five RBI night in a 9-3 win at LSU last Saturday.
Fischer's On-Base Streak Keeps Growing
Junior infielder Andrew Fischer has been an on-base machine for the Big Orange this season, leading the team with a .505 on-base percentage and an SEC-high 47 walks. The New Jersey native is the only player in the SEC to have reached base in all 44 games this season. Dating back to his time at Ole Miss last season, Fischer has reached base safely in 47 consecutive contests.
