We know that LK and crew will soon be at work , so why dont we go ahead and get to it.


I thought I would throw in a pic of the home crowd from their ESPN game earlier in the week.

That was the word, but there are rumblings that Fred Smith, whose son Cannon just transferred to the Tigers, has offered to drop the money for whatever facilities they need if the keep West.

Considering that Memphis has been using two different HS facilities at time because theirs is not playable when it rains, it would not surprise me.

Come on, making fun of Memphis is like making fun of a mentally or physically handicapped person. It's just not right.

But in all seriousness, I hope we hang 50 or 60 on Memphis. My dad and brother are Memphis fans and hate Tennessee, so absolutely destroying Memphis would be pure nectar.

This is the one game that may be very possible for Tennessee to get the shutout during season. Memphis' offense has managed to score 20 points or more only twice this entire season (against UTEP and UTMartin).

I expect Hardesty and Brown to get most of the work on 11.7.09

People - if we are going to make fun of the Tigers, can we at least refer to them properly. Please reference them as -

Tiger High or Memphis State University.

In my dealings, Memphis State makes their fans angrier.

I heard yesterday that Memphis doesn't have the funds in their athletic dept to buy West's contract out.

The funniest part of all this is that a lot of Tiger High BB fans actually pull for UT in football, just pathetic if you ask me.

Yeah, I heard that was true too....Many Big Orange fans are BB fans at Memphis....Considering all the corruption in Memphis politics I am suprised they even have any place to play.....Sad

This has not been my experience. The vast majority of Memphis fans I encounter hate everything about Tennessee and the jealousy is palpable.

I used to try to pull for Memphis when they weren't playing Tennessee, but having a former Memphis basketball player tell me he hoped the Tennessee football team plane would crash was the last straw for me.

Exactly. I love reading the comment section on an article involving UT in the Comical Appeal. They really try to compare the two programs. It's hilarious.
