My favorite is from this weeks' press conference before Oregon:

On not being overconfident after Martin:
"Well, if they look at the film and they get overconfident, then we've got a bigger problem. We've got an intelligence issue that we have to deal with. And then I'll probably send them to Thornton Center for a little work. If I've got to worry about that this week, we've got bigger issues than you guys can ever even imagine.

From College Gameday piece last week: "Don't overthink it. Pick somebody out and knock him on his ass!"

After the UTM game, Bob Kesling asked about the Oregon game. CDD's response was "Yeah, it's on to big boy football now". Made me laugh cause it's funny...and true.

His response to Spurrier calling us out for dropping UNC out of fear. . .said something like, "Well, you know you are in a major SEC program when Coach Spurrier calls out your team." (he said it much better though)

Anybody got a link to that Gameday segment. I usually try to avoid those clowns, so I missed it.

I liked the one where it was after one of the first practices and some reporter asked him "where are you linebackers at?" Dooley "In the lockeroom getting iced down." :)

There was also one where he said somethign like every play etc is like 4th and 1. The actual quote is much much better.

What was the one where Simms was talking about how well he did in the O & W game and Dooley stepped in and said...How many picks did you throw? Or something along those lines.

I appreciated his comments about when it "gets thick" during the game. Great analogy, noise, heat, pressure--thick is the right word!

When he said something to the effect of we have depth in the training staff, then came back the next weekend and corrected himself to say we had depth at training staff and kicker.

I think Dooley is going to be fun to follow over time.

Another time that was pretty funny as a visual was after one of the summer practice sessions in a post practice video, Wes Rucker asked Dooley a question and Dooley looked at him and said something like "Man, when did you blow up?" about Rucker's weight/muscle gain.

Saw this gem tonight...

"We've had a few staph infections, so we did a clinic yesterday on proper shower technique and soap and using a rag," Dooley said. "We put some new rags in -- y'all think I'm kidding, but I'm serious.

"We had, I told them, the worst shower discipline of any team I've ever been around. So we talked a little bit about application of soap to the rag and making sure you hit all your body. You know, you can neglect it trying to cut corners, and it shows in how you practice and elsewhere. I'm hoping we show some improvement in that."

The only place dirtier than a football locker room is the Ganges River.

I remember Dooley being asked about one of his players not being at practice (I think it was David Oku) and his response was...

"He had to go to Science class. He's learning the periodic table."

Oh wow he had a quote on how the players needed to learn how to shower properly due to staph infections. He seriously gave the team a speech on proper shower skills. Haha he's a nut!!!
