Damn mystery why Bates hasn’t gotten a look. Myatt, I don’t get. This kid literally averaged a hit every other time he came to bat last year. Averaged a home like every 4th at bat, or some insane number. Gets here, can’t hit a lick, even against midweek pitching.

But yes, it’s complete bunk why Ariel isn’t getting an opportunity when they’ve extended wat more grace to other players. Ariel was finally getting some hits and then we hardly see him.

I agree it’s kinda shocking Bates hadn’t got a chance as much as we’ve struggled at second base , as for AA that’s a tough one for me , if he starts and you hit for him in the 7th you lose his defense in the most critical part of the game , I really like Ant would be happy for him if he could grab that spot and keep it , I think getting Levi going would be huge for us , we may see Wright in CF and Jay at second this weekend and Levi in LF or DH

I think we see Ariel at 2B on Friday and Sat. It’s up to him if he wants to claim 2B. I think Finley is next man up if Antigua doesn’t perform well.

Jay at 2b give this team infinitely more options offensively. AA in the lineup forces one or two of clark, stone, newstrom, Myatt to the bench. All 4 have massively higher upside than AA with the bat.

I agree they have more upside at the plate however Newstrom and Myatt deserve to sit for a few games until they figure out their swings. Clark will C Blanco on Sundays and be a PH off bench. Myatt will be LH PH and Newstrom will be RH PH.

I think if Levi figures it out he’s gonna take over at catcher for Stone , he’s looked better catching than Stone has , I think AA is a gamer as has some serious competitive ness to him , I think we have a lot of room for improvement when you look at how many sophomores we have taking on full time rolls and a first time head coach , I thought we outplayed Ga most of that series less the 7th inning of game 3

Yeah I would give Levi a go at catcher Friday and stone at DH. There's something there with Levi at Catcher. Possibly at the plate he's overthinking things and when he's at catcher he's got more to worry about which gives less time to overthink at the plate. Would still like Stone's bat in the lineup. I tend to look at the way to get through struggles is to play through it rather than sit for a while.

Stone actually came around in the UGA series. Threw out the league’s best base runner. Several good stops and plays.

Yes. There, and second base needs to be a much tougher competition. Almost no production out of those competing at second base.

Both Lawless and Clark played well defensively at C against GA. Both had some great blocks and picks and Lawless’ throwing out Daniel Jackson at 2B was outstanding. It was Jackson’s first caught stealing in 12 tries this season.

Clark hasn’t caught Tegan all season and I don't think they change it up on Friday. I think Clark sits until back at C on Sunday unless Ford isn’t back from his illness. Clark would be a PH on Friday and Saturday. Grindlinger might be my first choice as first RH PH off bench.

I think Clark being 3 for his last 6 or 7 at bats gets him back out there before Sunday , maybe DH if Brown plays lf I guess it all depends on what they do at second base

You make a good point. I could see him back at 1B but not sure Grimmer’s back is ready for LF so he’d be at DH and Brown in LF with Wright in CF.
