Man, as soon as I turn that game on, the yell leaders (there’s 4-5 other ways I refer to those “guys”, but they’d probably all get me banned on this board!), take the lead. Absolutely pulling for Lamar!

Maybe. I’m only a “couch coach” but I just don’t see it with him. He doesn’t have a good feel for the zone. Not sure that’s something you course correct in one off-season.

Same thing many said about Tony and Frank…till they were gone.

We didn’t execute squeeze and they did. Situational hitting. Or lack there of.. Blew a huge opportunity and burned arms. Just lacking and needs to be addressed in off season . Need to go acquire couple clutch bombing bats. Margins so fine between good and great College Baseball. I think it’s the hardest tourney to come out on top.

Yeah...if we boiled it down to one aspect...lack of timely hitting. Three or four chances to end it but just could not get it done. I was hoping we would squeeze on the first pitch which is usually around the zone. Couldn't ask for the pitching staff to perform much better. Scoring 3 runs in 14 innings usually gets you sent home.

Sac bunting Reese when a base hit wins the game with what we had on deck, then the strategy to follow was amateurish.

Taking the bat effectively out of Chapman’s hands was a bad call. Imagine how he felt when he got the bunt sign.

I just now noticed that Little Rock beat Southern Miss! Little Rock was the only team to take a game off LSU last year in the tourney. They forced us to a winner take all game in the regional. I really liked those dudes. They had a lot of heart, never quit, and had a good bit of talent for a team I’d never even heard of before. Happy to see them get a win!

I think the ABS at the tournament and in MLB kinda indicates those guys are doing a pretty good job. They’ll occasionally miss a call, but not many.

I sign that they’re a well coached team. That skipper of theirs might find himself with an offer from a bigger program soon.

I have six kids, a mortgage and own a business and I would highly doubt my stress compares to someone with an entire fanbase looking on them to never do anything wrong. I doubt you or I would be bombarded with insults for striking out in a game or getting death threats for throwing interceptions.

Stress is relative and mental. You should be able to handle more as you get older but to think young kids should just handle it because somehow that makes life easier, get real.

Life’s tough. Wear a helmet.
