IGN: Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm Dev Diary

Well, I'm a fan of the show and see they're putting out a game. With that said, I think this could be one of the most boring games ever, most likely a glorified bass fishing game. Wouldn't bother watching the trailer, it seems like more of a USCG commercial. Dare I say, Thoughts?

i am addicted to one show and one show only. That show is Deadliest Catch. That being said, I can't imagine playing it as a game. I think I would have more fun trying to rescue someone thrown overboard than I would getting the most crab.

no, you have to make sure you catch male crabs and stay away from the females. Also, you have to make difficult ethical decisions on whether to lie or not to other captains

haha that one episode, that guy told the spots where it's good, after another captain told him to keep it between them

the show, surprisingly awesome. The game, predictably awful.

I dunno. It would be a lot like the Sim games I think. And I am a fan of those. I still think the Sim City games were a lot of fun.

If you could start out on just a small boat as a deckhand and work your way up and become captain or even start with your own small boat and continuously get bigger, it might be worth renting.

Maybe but I have a feeling it will fall into the category of failed movie/tv spinoff games, which are almost all terrible. Because I'm a fan of the show, I just might be entertained by the game for a week or so.

as i said, renting would be as far as i would go.... unless you can get it a Wii version and you have to actually learn to throw the buoys and hook just right, now that could be interesting.

I think its 360 only, but you're on to something there Bill

yeah, i watched the trailers and it's 360 and PC only. But maybe they could expand if it's somehow successful. I just don't see it being successful.
