Alright, summer is here, which means that these juniors are now officially seniors....

Which means their decisions are coming closer. Which means we can now make even more predictions. Who do we get? Let's assume we have 31 spots (I'm leaving off Kameel for now, because I don't know exactly where he goes)

QB - David Cornwell (I think we get him, I don't think he wants to be just an option for Bama)

RB - Jalen Hurd
RB - Treyvon Paulk

WR - Lawrence Lee
WR - Neiko Creamer (Most likely defense)
WR - Dominique Booth
WR - Josh Malone
WR - Stanton Truitt (Most likely defense)
WR - Vic Wharton

TE - Daniel Helm
TE - Ethan Wolf

OL - Orlando Brown
OL - Coleman Thomas
OL - Charles Mosley
OL - Matthew Pyke

DL - Michael Sawyers
DL - Bruno Reagan
DL - Dewayne Hendrix
DL - Joe Henderson

LB - Kevin Mouhon
LB - Greg Miclisse
LB - Dillon Bates

DB - Todd Kelly Jr.
DB - D'Andre Payne
DB - Cortez McDowell
DB - Rashaan Gaulden
DB - Wesley Green
DB - D.J. Smith

ATH - Evan Berry
ATH - Elliot Berry

K - Aaron Medley

I have us missing on Petera Wilson and Derek Barnett. Not because I think we will, but just because they seem the least likely, and I had to squeeze the Berry twins in. I see them being Vols, unless we tell them to go elsewheres. I know that's an insane thought, but with the amount of talent that we are getting interest from, if we actually show some tangible improvement on the field, we will be turning people away left and right.

Anyways, there is my prediction as of now. I'm glad that Butch is the one in charge of this. But honestly, I see nothing really outrageous about my prediction. I see it changing in some ways....take off one 4*, replace with another...

I mean, Wilson, Barnett, Ford, Adoree Jackson, plus so so so many others are still in play.

I've never been this excited about recruiting in May.

Looks pretty accurate to me lines may change a bit though. :)

Seriously? With all due respect to the OP, we have a million threads like this, as well as discussing it in individual's threads. What's the purpose of another one?

Eh. It's the offseason man. And with recruiting, it changes so fluidly, predictions change all the time.

Bored, wanted to throw it out there. Truth be told, in May, we've rarely been able to speculate with so much evidence (I would say certainty but it's not that).

Plus, these types of threads help the people who aren't on here as much, because it helps them to know who we have a really good shot for. if someone predicts they will be a Vol, then you don't have to wonder who we're in good for. Instead of looking at a random recruits thread only to realize that we have no shot at them.

I mean, mods, merge, whatever, let it fall to the bottom. I was just bored, and exercising my poster freedom. Plus, salivating over the awesome possibilities.

It will be hot and the USA will celebrate it's 237th birthday with fireworks.

In five years, the majority of those picks will still be my picks for state champs.

I worry about South Pittsburg since Grider is gone. But hopefully the program will stay strong. Though I would love for my Marion County Warriors to get back to where they used to be in the 90's. :)

Little 1A competition and loads of speed helps SP regardless of who the coach is. It will be different not having a Grider at the helm.

Those DL's and LB's aren't going to cut it. We need better and more. Mosley, Barnett, and Lambert for DL's. I don't see Bruno as a take but that's just me. LB's has to be more than 3.

Well, I thought the same. But as someone said, Hubbs didn't see 5 DL as a possibility. I think we're in on some great ones, but I'm not sure how we end up there.

And I do agree with LB, but at least one of the Berry bros. should be a LB, or so I thought. That would bring it up to 4.

I don't know. Even with 30-31 spots, this class is going to be ridiculously hard to allot spots to.

And I could see some variation in the DB's, but I think they're making that a high point of emphasis this year. It's semi difficult this year too because of all of the players who are versatile. I mean Creamer, will he be a WR, TE, DE, LB? I've heard all of them. Or Truitt, who could go to defense? Wharton is listed as a DB, but could play WR? I mean, there's so much versatility in this class, and I wonder if that's what this staff is doing. If maybe they're just trying to bring in the bodies and skill sets they're looking for, and then teaching them where they fit best. It just seems that we're going after a lot of players that could play multiple positions, which has got to be hard to evaluate.

I predict we finish in the 10-15 range nationally and about 6th in the conference in the rankings. Look at our per player average. It is not very good, and rivals just redid their rankings. I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, just being realistic.

I see us gettin Keshun Freeman

I wouldn't object to that as well. Honestly, I think if we have a good season, Adoree Jackson could be on the table too. There's a ton of possibilities and a ton of time. And a ton of chances for the Vols to pick up steam or lose it.

It really just depends on if we keep this momentum up, and if it translates to the football field. If it doesn't, I will agree with you.

But I really think that we will continue to pick up 3-4* players. And I HOPE by the end of it that we wind up with at least 1-2 5 star players (Hurd, TK). We'll see.

It just amazes me that Hurd rushed for 7 TDs in a state championship game, and no bump at all. I don't understand that.

Hopefully after rushing for about 40 TD's this year, they'll give him a 5th star. :)
