The Official #8 Tennessee vs. #5 Florida Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN

LOL.

It was still a "mid-season SEC regular season game."

Your previous post did not indicate that what day of the week it was, would be such a significant variable.

So, I guess that people do care about mid-season SEC regular season games, as long as they are played on a Tuesday night?
You’ve obviously never worked in the national media industry while thinking everyone outside of Knoxville has an anti-UT bias. Good day.

There is no mention of the Vols win on the espn website home page or NCAAM page. You have to drill down to the scores page to even know they played. Why would a top 10 matchup be buried like that?
I noticed that too. I also noticed that every single loss TN has had this year has been on the front page. Not a conspiracist but it’s a fact.

LOL.

I didn't say that ESPN had an anti-UT bias, but your logic as to why the Kentucky vs Tennessee game was more of a focal point of their coverage than the Florida vs Tennessee game .... was not consistent.

The big game today was Duke v NC. Always is. Our game got a lot of talk on the other games halftime shows. It was a top 10 match up ON ESPN. Knowing Duke game vs NC is ALWAYS the big marquee match up I thought they respected our game appropriately.

I went to the game today. Florida’s coach, Golden is the biggest ass I’ve ever seen on the sidelines. He fancies himself as Dan Hurley, only he hasn’t won anything and he was the visiting coach.

Golden spent most of the timeouts harassing the refs and very little time talking to the team. The entire second half, the coaches huddled up on the court and left the Florida players sitting by themselves in silence. When he was in the huddle, he screamed in his guys’ faces. He may be a good coach, but I wouldn’t want to play for him.
Didn’t he get into trouble sending pics or something?

I think this game shows that Gainey is the guy, not Lanier. We have wasted too much time trying to get Lanier a shot, which reduces the clock to 10 sec., and why ZZ is taking so many shots. Spend that time on Gainey because he can shoot the 3, drive and shoot, drive and finish, drive and get fouled. The defense will adjust and Lanier will get his shot. They were forced into it today. What a great game for those guys who played, no one gave them a chance.
They have different roles on the team and both did their job last night. When the other guys started hitting a couple of shots, Lanier was more open and hit 3-4 in a row. He is our best weapon and we need him on the floor.

I guess the game wasn't on ESPN .......... wait.

I see it all the time on CBSSports.com, but then they're a Big 10 fanboy site anyway. While UT was #1 I couldn't find a thing about them, but after the first Florida game it was a screaming headline. After a while you get used to it.
They've just become a Big1G proponent, mainly because they have the TV rights now

What are the consequences of making those comments?
None but it does remind me of the "journalists" who are so eager to be the first to report something that they don't bother making sure what they are saying is accurate. Similarly, once their reporting proves to be false or inaccurate, they simply move on to the next thing.

I noticed that when they announced that UF was closing their investigation that they were very careful to say “did not violate title IX” and not “innocent” or “cleared”. Seemed like the UF lawyers had their work cut out for them.

I am very confused by how Title IX applies to stalking and sexual harassment. Golden is a dual citizen of US and Israel. Could it be that a diplomat is protecting Golden?

True, but they've always been that way because they are northern based and biased. Their glee at having two Big 10 teams in the final four was sickening, and I've seen articles there talking about Penn f***king State as next season's OSU.
