I know they are looking to put up shots quickly, force turnovers and increase the number of possessions. In the past, we would often see the Lady Vols eat up most of the shot clock trying to force the ball inside or get a good shot and end up putting up a rushed shot at the end. Now they are expected to find a shot quickly and let it fly. I wonder if some of our players rush their shot a bit, having not played at this pace before. Would it be fair to expect the game to "slow down" for them as get more playing time in this system, resulting in improved shooting percentages.Their game against MTSU is a good indicator of how they will do against stronger teams. Lady Vols had by far the best offensive turnover rate that MTSU has allowed. It'll get tougher in the SEC but it does look like the Lady Vols take care of the ball this year. I think the perimeter shooting will be a problem from time to time though, and they really need to shoot a lot of them for the offense to work.
