I will say this, Utah State traveled well, given their distance. There were a bunch of fans filing in before our game was over.

That’s a low key die hard basketball school. Really good fan base. Seems like they’re always at or near the top of that league. They, like seemingly every Mountain West team, just had a no show.

I noticed that on the broadcast I used (instead of going to commercials the venue just stays on court cams).

As expensive as things have become in the past decade... travel by air is much more reasonable. Good and bad, depending on how much you value home court. It certainly balances it out a little more, depending on which airport has directs.

Gameplan was pretty vanilla tonight. Switched between zone and man based on the game flow. Ran the offense through Chaz' shooting. Double digit win.

After the two early turnovers, I thought Okpara played well. Big dude for Woffird did nothing.

So did Cade.....especially late. Our guys just got finished battling in the most physical league in country by far and then had to adjust to very minor contact/physicality being called fouls. I'll give them a pass seeing as how they shut down Woffords only post player.

Okpara needs to focus on putting the ball in the hoop instead of trying to thunder dunk everything. I did get frustrated when our guys collapsed on their driving players. Our guys were guarding just fine 1v1 and caught up to effect shots when their guys did get a step. Collapsing on them was unnecessary and opened up a bunch of open 3s that kept it from being a blowout.

Wofford also had about 10-15 points from shots with some very lucky bounces on the rim.....most of those usually don't go. Game wasn't nearly as close as final score indicates.

Agree, I think they just did what they had to do for the win. You don't get any extra points for win margin. Just advance is what it's all about.

Aidoo had himself a game--- man, he played like we knew he could...Wonder where we'd be right now with Aidoo and Awaka? I'd definitely take back Awaka this season, we'd be set under the basket.

Ehh I'd take Awaka, but truth be told I would have rather just had JP and I think the staff felt the same way. I truly believe he was gonna have a nice breakout season this year.

As I said, Utah State was prone to a blowout if they have a bad shooting night which is precisely what happened tonight. However, I will say that I will never again have any respect for a Mountain West team in the tournament.

One night after posting this, the Mountain West pulls two upsets lol

Should been playing the Mighty Mocs of chattanooga the way they bracket tournament winners over 26-7 utc is dumb

If they ever do expand the tournament again, in spite of how bloated it already is, there should be a guaranteed spot for conference champions. Expanding just so more mediocre P5 teams can play would just be silly.
