With a minor hiccup that’s the Karlyn we know and love. May have gotten us home super regional if we get there. She was dealing and we finally got to their pitcher.
She plays with a ton of emotion. Gets the better of her sometimes, I think. It’s an absolute joy to watch when she’s on a roll though.Gotta love her! When you throw with that kind of velocity, if and when the batter gets contact, the ball stands a good chance of exiting the park.
It is a joy seeing her smile out there, but that emotional high can sometimes swing the other way when something bad happens, HR, then hit batter on the next pitch, then nearly launched one into the 5th row.![]()
Tennessee was starting to get locked in on Alabama ace pitcher. She’s pretty good, but yeah, my first thought too.
Yes.Karlyn needed that. After the home run then the wild pitch after…Karen knew she needed to keep Karlyn in. That’s a damn great coach right there. Karlyn got the senior night she deserved!
Props to Karen. She made the right call, Nuwer for 3 innings and Pickens to finish. She rightfully earned the big bucks. Loved the 2 game comeback by our LV's on the hated Bama - first series lose of the season and shutout. No better way to stick it to them. Feeling a lot better about post season now that some hitting is returning and Pickens rounding back into Pickens shape. This is a tough call for Karen. IMO Sage is the ace for now. She has mastered using that change up pitch. The dilemma for tonight goes back to the hitting. Cannot afford to let Bama get off to a 3-4 run lead early. Not sure LV's hitting could overcome that. Do you take a chance starting Nuwer with Sage/Pickens in relief or start Pickens who is clearly struggling.
This is where Karen earns the big bucks, ha.
