I wonder if we get a Bama weekend starter. They play Missouri on Tuesday so I’m guessing they throw a midweek guy/bullpen game that day. So do they reset the rotation Wednesday against Tennessee or throw another midweek/bullpen guy?Wonder who we pitch on Wednesday?
Should we give Doyle the week off to heal?
I bet midweek guy. I think every postseason team will stay on normal pitching schedule since it’s a single elimination and they want to be setup for Regionals.I wonder if we get a Bama weekend starter. That assumes they beat lowly Missouri.
That’d be my guess too. So maybe we’ll have a slight advantage if they’ve used up some bullpen arms vs. Missouri.I bet midweek guy. I think every postseason team will stay on normal pitching schedule since it’s a single elimination and they want to be setup for Regionals.
Ironic, if Missouri somehow upsets Bama, this would crush TN’s RPI, and likely result in TN not hosting Regionals unless they win SEC Tourney. That’d be my guess too. So maybe we’ll have a slight advantage if they’ve used up some bullpen arms vs. Missouri.
I’m honestly not too concerned about how far we go in Hoover. I just want to beat Alabama. In every sport. Every time we play them.
I sure wouldn't us Doyle before Saturday. It was obvious his blister problem was a factor on Friday. If it were me, I'm not sure he would be wearing his cleats this week at all.Just my opinion but I think you keep everyone on the same schedule as last week. Midweek/Bullpen game on Wednesday, and if you keep advancing you go Phillips Thursday, Doyle Saturday, and Kuhns Sunday.
I didn’t realize we would skip Friday if we make it past Thursday. So not sure if one day rest affects Doyle too much or not for Friday of regionals. Maybe you have him on a lower pitch count Saturday? Or maybe they roll the dice and save Doyle for Saturday of regionals for a potential matchup against the 1 seed.
I'd be absolutely shocked if Phillips and Doyle were moved up to Wed and Thur.Mizzou pitched off last weekend saving their best 2 arms for tomorrow to try and beat Bama. Don't be surprised if we move guys up to pitch Wendesday and Thursday, need a couple wins to host. Tony wants to be in Knoxville if at all possible.
I would say Bowie too, but I had to google glam rock and then talk to some people because before I posed the question I though glam rockers were the same thing as bands with guys that had really big hair. I like Bowie, so that's part of why I picked him. It's a "genre" I barely listened to back in the day, and I mostly cited it as a joke between me and my fine, thinning hair.
But I guess in my memory David Bowie would be the icon. You?
