Really hope you're right. Don't have long to fix it with UGA looming week 3. I don't expect us to win the game, but expect to be competitive in the game at least.

It was a bit concerning that we had four 3rd and short situations and converted only 1. Good offenses convert more than 50% of these. Got to do better here.

As go to playmakers develop and we get more work with situational practice I believe we'll see better execution, and you are correct, we need improvement there sooner rather than later.

Nobody mentioned Indiana, the guy mentioned the Ky and Miss St games last year, 2 games in which JG was nearly perfect, the stats are above. Another gotcha moment you tried for and once again you're not even close to what was originally being debated. Do you agree or disagree that 13-15 for 220 with 3 TDs and zero interceptions in 2 wins is quality QB play or not? I guess you too had rather take 11 for 23 for 150 with 0 TDs and 3 ints.

Come on folks, it was the first game, we beat Muschamp again and this team has dealt with varying levels of Covid quarantines. JG had very little practice time because of that to establish a rapport with his receivers. Yes he made mistakes, but nothing that isn't correctable. He had some good moments as well. Some of the keys to the game, should have went for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking a 47 yd FG. Should have ran the ball the 4th quarter and controlled the clock and game, thats not on JG, thats on Cheney.

Can't disagree with anything in this post except, "Yes he made mistakes, but nothing that isn't correctable." Those mistakes haven't been corrected yet, so I doubt they will be. Then again, it is 2020 and after the way this year has gone I now believe any darned thing is possible.
