Speed option with Sampson is a cheat code.

It was offsetting penalties but the live ball foul gave Akron the automatic first down. The dead ball fouls on the offense does not change the down and distance.

So if we had jumped offsides and they commited a dead ball personal foul on 3rd and 6 on an incomplete pass it would it would then be 4th and 21 or offsetting penalties or an automatic 1st? If it was 3rd and 4 under the same scenario is a 1st down and then a 15 yard penalty or offsetting penalties? Surely there’s a reason to have live and dead ball fouls.
