SV and JJJ weren’t much help in games like this last year. SV and JJJ would have been throwing up bricks like everyone else tonight. I know defense is top priority to Barnes, but he is going to have to accept the fact that you have to have multiple scoring threats on the floor. Barnes needs to require that the guys playing the wings need to at least be two level scorers. A wing player should be able to shoot the three and attack the rim and draw fouls or have a mid-range game. Both SV and JM not being two level scorers have really hurt the team. JM should be the last of the defensive specialist type of players. You just can’t have a guy out there playing 25 minutes a game that isn’t even looking to score.I love how hard mashack plays but this team needs a scorer to help Lanier and they don’t have that. It sucks but this team needed someone like Vescovi or JJJ tonight

I’m describing the refereeing. You denying they were a part of the game has no dignity, whatsoever. In fact, it’s a bold faced lie.No number 1 team has scored such few points since 1957, and you are in here blaming refs. “Pathetic” is the kindest, most dignified way to describe your take.
The way we played, they could have fouled out all but 4 Florida players, and we still weren’t winning that game. To even mention the referees after a game like that is beyond ridiculous.I’m describing the refereeing. You denying they were a part of the game has no dignity, whatsoever. Be kind to yourself and keep your mouth shut.
Yes, it's going to be very tough in every road game. UT football and basketball are the same, big games away they are complete no shows. These huge games are over after 5 minutes of play, nothing for the fans at all. Well, luckily, regardless of the score, its still only 1 loss.Home games in the SEC...no matter which sport...are tough and a huge advantage for the home team.
Sadly, it’s inbred in some of these people’s DNA to blame someone when they or their team get beat. It’s always something ie a ref, or bad coaching. The way we played, they could have fouled out all but 4 Florida players, and we still weren’t winning that game. I imagine you are the type who has never once taken accountability for anything you’ve ever done wrong.
Bad coaching can be very valid. Usually those types are reluctant to blame a loss on coaching though. Refs, injuries, weather in outdoor sports, where the game is played, what time the game is played, what day the game is played, the age of the players, the fans of the team. Those are all fair game, especially refs and injuries if there’s a single call that goes against us or a single player feeling sore.Sadly, it’s inbred in some of these people’s DNA to blame someone when they or their team get beat. Lanier is a good player no matter what he did tonight. Maschak is your solid defensive player that has no offense. ZZ played hard but still makes mistakes handling the ball, but he sure plays hard. Gainey is not a point guard. He cannot handle the pressure being the point guard. Okpara I thought played hard also. Phillips got pushed around some last night but still plays hard. The one person I am concerned about is Igor. He has got to be the second option behind Lanier. His shooting from outside is atrocious and now he is starting to miss the inside shots too. He also got schooled on defense/rebounding last night. TN is a very good team but not a great team period. No Dalton Knecht tonight.
