It is quite amazing to see just how many people have come out of the woodwork to absolutely despise Tennessee all over Yahoo Sports, Fox Sports 1, ESPN, etc.

I have done a lot of reading the past few nights about this game that I will never forget and all I keep seeing is

"TN is overrated"

"TN has played nobody"

"UGA sucks, why is this a big deal?"

"TN will get beat by 20+ against Bama and A&M"

And so on, and so on. I have never loved to be hated so much. Honestly, we haven't played our best football yet and that is definitely true, but anyone out there talking about how Tennessee sucks is not an objective college football analyst and is just allowing their extreme bias against TN to show. We might not be a playoff team at this point in time, but we definitely have proven ourselves to be the most resilient team in the nation. And UGA and UF, despite the pain it causes me to say, are not as miserable of teams as everyone wants to paint them.

Florida has given up a combined 20 points (except us) through their first 5 games. Granted, they have not faced many good offenses, but that is still impressive.

I wonder how long the "Tennessee hasnt played anyone" rhetoric will go on?

Just imagine "yeah they beat A&M.. but look at all of their injuries. Doesn't mean anything"

"Yeah they beat alabama but it was at home so"

"Yeah they beat Alabama again, but Bama was bored. Too used to being there"

"Yeah they won the playoff, but it was Washington so did this year even happen?"

Only team to win back to back against ranked Opponents, and three ranked opponents in the year (VT now ranked). This is all last I checked. Either way, we are doing something right

We will never garner any praise from another fanbase, and I am okay with that. People just want to discredit any team in the SEC other than Bama as not being good because they are tired of hearing about the SEC. It is true that the conference is not as deep as normal, but UGA and UF are far from bad teams. This is the same UGA team that ran all over UNC, who just beat FSU, a pre-season championship favorite, IN Tallahassee.

This notion that the teams we play suck is quite laughable. People just need a reason to complain I suppose. As long as the actual "professional" sports writers are saying good things, I'll take it.

I've used this one more than a few times, but it's exactly how I feel when I hear the butt hurt flow.

Took my son to the Clemson/Louisville game Saturday and of course we sported our Vol shirts. Heard many
Go Vols as we walked around though there were a couple really mouthy ones stating we were getting our A** kicked. Was hoping we ran into them again after the game. Guess they didn't like the real BIG ORANGE

Tech fans suck. It's unfortunate I have to live in the middle of them.

Never had a good experience with Clemson or UGA fans, either.

Michigan and Tennessee are the only teams in the country to beat 2 current AP top 25 teams. If we can put together a 4 quarter game then we can beat any team in the country. The amazing part is we are winning with out a complete game effort yet.

I visited their board yesterday and just couldn't believe what I was reading. That has to be one of the worst butthurt group of fans I've eve seen. Saying that they SHOULD HAVE beaten UT, after losing by 21 points! Also, talking about getting revenge if they meet us in the playoffs. Virginia Tech in the playoffs this year? Give me a break! I'm not even talking about US being in the playoffs and we're undefeated so far after beating FL and GA! Talk about delusional. Wow.

Before I start, I will acknowledge we are extremely lucky to be 5-0, but I hold on to the fact we have not played an entire game and still are undefeated. Many forget in 1998 we were a pass interference call (Syracuse), missed FG (Florida), and fumble (Arkansas) away from losing those games. You make your own luck.

Has anyone come in contact with a UGA fan who used one of the following arguments:
We have a Freshman QB
It's Kirby's first year
We are young
Your best team in last 10 years had to be lucky to beat us
You should have beat us by 21, but couldn't even cover the spread (by the way if we get to kick extra point, we cover)

I find it funny that in 2013 we lost a double OT heartbreaker to UGA in Knoxville when they were ranked #6. At no point did they want to hear any excuses from Tennessee fans on why they couldn't beat UGA. The tables have turned and those same jokers are making excuses.

I like reading comments from rival fans how much they hate Tennessee. That means we are getting under their skin which means we are winning. What I hated was the Dooley era where we were laughed at or pitied.

Driving back from Florida on Sunday through Georgia with my UT gear on. Double takes and sideways glances at the gas station were hilarious.

One thing I've noticed is that some Bama fans - when we aren't playing them - will defend Tennessee, but it is amazing how much Tennessee bashing goes on. Probably some of it is just ingrained, but likely more is based on recency - millennials in particular love to talk and have no perspective of history. Little 10 fans are absolutely the worst, ACC wannabes aren't far behind, PAC is far too self centered, and the AAC fans are battling self induced ACC type delusions of grandeur.

Just remind the UGA fans that their 2012 team, the team that was 2 yards away from beating Bama and essentially winning a national championship, only beat Dooley by 7. Since 2011 the largest margin of victory was 8 points. That's 6 years of 1 score games. This is a fierce rivalry so throw records out the window when we play
