Please let this be true so we can end this joke of a program that Butch has made us out to be.

Something needs to happen. And happen now. At least an intern would let the fans know the wheels are in motion.

The season can't be saved, but at least give us hope for the future

Still a lot of football. Just resilience and fundamentals will pay off. Going 9-3 or 8-4. Butch will be back.

It is, but I think they wait till after Bama to sack him. Just doesn't make much sense to fire your coach right before the biggest game of the year. But barring a miracle win next week, he's gone. And I don't think any of us expect to beat Bama in Tuscaloosca.

At 3-4, the firing also looks very reasonable. I don't want us to get in a situation where we're firing 9-3 coaches and good coaches don't want to come here because of unrealistic expectations.

Firing 9-3 coaches?????? Are you suggesting we might go 9-3 this year????

I was hoping against hope. It is time to let him go. Bama is not the biggest game of the year any longer for us, as we can't compete. I think the change should be done Monday. Interim coach would not be expected to beat Bama, it can't be any worse with interim than with Butch.

The play on the field so far isn’t reasonable? Letting the East and a Sugar Bowl slip away last year isn’t enough and not reasonable enough? Great coaches know the expectations here and will embrace them.

We haven't scored a TD in like 8 quarters. What makes you think we win 8? We are lucky to win 2 more games...

You fire him now so as to play bama with a new person calling the shots. if you fire him after bama then you give bama the pleasure of ending a Tennessee coaches career at Tennessee...I don't care who you are but never give bama the pleasure of anything...

We haven’t had a touchdown in 10 quarters, I certainly don’t expect to score on bama

At this point what does it matter? With Scott calling plays the O can't stick their own thumb up their butt using both hands

Well, we know we will have the same number of points as Cumberland. It remains to be seen how many points Saban wants to score next week.

What is the record for Tennessee NOT scoring a touchdown? It's now been TEN quarters and I can safely predict another 4 against Bama. 3-1/2 games without a touchdown should be a firing offense for any coach
