A story by Grand Vol to the theme of Star Wars.
Alas, we came into this game with low expectations by and large. However, the Vols were taking the field and we were underway.
Yet, there probably was that one that showed up with a cousin wearing a Bama shirt at a Vol game.
Kickoff happened:
And our first interception...in the red zone...
But, the defense held the Bulldogs.
And turned around and scored
We had ourselves a ball game!
Pushing ahead, we scored again
Then, tragedy struck and Maurer got hurt.
Which prompted JG's return. The fans cried out in a single voice
As we went into halftime. Fans were somewhat optomistic
But not expecting much
However, the defense kept playing like crazy people
Sacking MSSt's QB seven times
To include Shrader running right into Greg Emerson
They gave us a bit of a scare towards the end
But Tyler Byrd sealed the deal
We finally won!
It was a good feeling seeing the victory
Now, we get to see "we can beat Bama" threads all week long
