The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

im seeing anywhere from -1 to -2 and i love it.

i remember last yr i was listening to 3HL on my drive home on the thursday afternoon of the temple/vandy opener. They were watching the betting line as they were doing the show and it fell something like 10pts throughout the show. It ended up being a pretty close line. Everyone on air was wondering what was going on and then Vandy ultimately ended up getting smoked.

The Vandy coaching staff probably bet the house on Temple. That's why the line moved so much during game week.

Dang Rise, you and I have the same TV and radio habits. Lol. Heard that too last year. They were all scratching their collective heads while reporting that line was plummeting. It was beautiful a few hours later when Temple put the smack down on Pansybilt and validated the line movement.

The Vandy-Temple game was honestly the funniest sporting event I have ever witnessed. I was legitimately laughing out loud throughout the entire game. It was so satisfying to see how quickly they had returned to "Same ol Vandy" after boasting nonstop during the Franklin era.

I don't know. The Oregon-FSU game last year was hilarious to me.

But it did make me pretty giddy seeing the final score.

"I wouldn't be shocked if Western KY closes as a slight favorite against #Vanderbilt next Thurs."
- @ToddFuhrman

I bet the line will move big time next Thursday.

On the WKU message board, Hilltopper Haven, some of the WKU fans said they're going to take a banner to the Vandy game that reads, "You're supposed to be in the SEC!"

I think west ken wins by at least 14 imo

Or more. WKU is used to putting up big points on almost anyone. The only time they struggled last year was against La Tech, a team with a top 30 defense. Vandy's was ranked 75th.

I think WKU puts up at least 35-42 points, and I don't see Vandy scoring more than 28 or so.

To have a chance Vandy can't turn the ball over a single time or give up a special teams touchdown, and they are awful at doing both.

In reference to the WKU game:

"I think we will Vanderbilt them. They will stand toe to toe with us for the first half, maybe into the 3rd quarter. Then our depth will become a factor and we will pull away in a close one."

lol what? We will Vanderbilt them? What depth is this guy speaking of? The only thing they will do is Clemson them in that VU will lose a game they really should have won.

that depth part cracks me up. they dont have any depth though haha

they are the thinnest team in the conference by a mile. They really dont know much about football. Hell, they dont even know their own roster.

Thinking back to last season I don't remember Vandy wearing teams down in the 4th quarter unless he was referring to the Charleston Southern 1 point nail biter.

Vanderbilt them? That sounds like a tasteless reference to the acts that lead to 4 football players being on trial...

Not to mention, there's a reason the saying "Same old Vandy" exists.

They know plenty! They know:
- Ludwig has icepick eyeballs
- Bowden worked on sounding less effeminate
- they may lose every other game, but they will most certainly beat UThug
- playing on Thursday night is so much more prestigious than playing on Saturday
- they are the next Stanford

And the list goes on...
