The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Alright, I doubt I'll post in this thread again. Vandy going winless in the SEC and 3-9 overall make me happy enough. Can forget about the little sisters again until next November.

Well sadly that's the truth. If I was a fan of vandy I'd be laughing at how bad we sucked and still almost won.

If I were a Vandy fan, I would be extremely embarrassed that my team failed to beat a Tennessee team that was filled with injuries/suspensions and couldn't capitalize on UT's mistakes.

As bad as Vandy was they should celebrate the moral victory and be at least a little inspired that Mason didn't lose the team at the end. Of course they should have been rooting they gut drug by us and fired Mason.

Vandy put up a lot of fight. I thought after the lay down last week against Miss State, they wouldn't be much trouble for our Vols.

hate to tell you but no it wouldn't. Sorry, a degree from VU holds a lot more weight in the real world.

I dunno about CNU specifically, but inside the state of Tennessee a degree from Tennessee is easily as good as one from Vanderbilt. It probably isn't like that elsewhere, but between these state lines it is.

The only people instate that are more impressed by a Vandy degree are people that also went to Vandy.

You must not have a college degree then if you think that.

A degree is a degree is a degree. A Vandy football players communications degree is just as worthless as a UNC one, etc, etc.

In my opinion, the Vandy coaches knew they were going to get stomped by Miss St. So, rather than wasting time preparing for that game, they spent the last couple of weeks game planning for UT. I think that explains why Vandy looked completely unprepared for Miss St and why Vandy was able to keep the game close against UT.

I blame our problems on the Backup Quarterback Conspiracy Theory.

Maybe but Robinette is clearly a better QB than McCrary. I know he's had injuries but he's been fine for weeks now and Mason is a moron for not just sticking with him.

I'm not saying they win anymore than they did but I think they would have looked better.

I dunno. The sportswriters were comparing McCrary to Jay Cutler just a few weeks ago.

lulz

They can laugh all they want, but UT's bowl eligible and Vandy's sitting at home. So in other words, the way things should be.

Just too bad UK didn't pull out an upset yesterday. That would have been alcohol on the open wound being the only SEC team that wasn't bowl eligible.

Good to see Vandy fans have resorted back to their usual trash-talk: UT fans are classless, toothless hillbillies who cheer for a team of criminals and thugs.

I had a good laugh at the posters over there who said we are barely better than Vandy and "easily" the second worst team in the conference. I wonder how that's possible considering we beat the hell out of Kentucky and beat South Carolina on the road. I guess they don't teach critical thinking skills at whatever community college the majority of Vandy fans attended and dropped out of after half of a semester.

And now the butthurt threads about how all us redneck Vol fans acted at their stadium and how we took over and wah wah wah.

I was down there. I can't say 100% there weren't some instances, but for the most part before and after the game I saw very little trash talking or arguing with Vandy fans. Partly because there were so few Vandy fans, but also because most it seemed most Vol fans understand where we are right now. And I walked all over West End.

Caleb Azubike got lit up on Twitter yesterday after the game. He's the one who tweeted the crap about "OurState" and "NoBowl" at Tennessee fans after last year's game.

The last paragraph is spot on. I don't know how they had any witnesses that could verify how we behaved.

I have been waiting for this game for a year. Froze my ass off last year in Neyland just to see us lose. So nice to finally beat them.

Actually, I have one from UT. And you? It is you that must not have one or you'd know that in the real world there is an hierarchy in degrees. As someone mentioned, in Tennessee a degree from UTK or Vandy hold about the same level. Then it drops to a lower level. Venture out from the state line and that same degree from UTK or Vandy still holds a higher level of regard. Lesser know schools such as Tn Tech, MTSU, or even CN, don't hold their prestige. Sorry but that's life.

and a degree is not a degree is not a degree. Its a start. Where you get it does hold a tremendous amount of clout in the real world. Ask any HR person.
