The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Gotta give this poster there some credit. Of course he's told to go to a UT board later in the thread for telling the truth:

Let's see:

Tennessee had a 104,000-seat stadium overflowing with orange and white clad fans, many of whom stood and yelled themselves hoarse for 4 straight hours. Compare that to CBS's overhead shots of a Vanderbilt Stadium clearly dominated by the visitors' red and several empty seats in the upper levels of Vandy's prime homeside seats.

UT played a national power, ranked 5 places higher them in the rankings, to two overtimes (admittedly after blowing a 17-3 lead in the 4th Q), after a blow-out loss to that same team last year on the road. Clearly, there's been improvement, despite the boneheaded failure to seal the deal yesterday.

The mid-major UT beat last week in Nashville blew out an FBS team from a Power 5 conference yesterday, on the road (Bowling Green defeated Maryland 48-27 in College Park). The mid-major who beat Vanderbilt by 2 points last week at VU edged La. Tech by only 3 points, at home.

Hmmm.

Tennessee fans are rightfully in a meltdown over their second-half conservative breakdown.
But I doubt any of them are having to console themselves with a Vanderbilt loss.

5 picks through 2 games is awful.

should be like 7 though. He hit leonard floyd right in the numbers with a pick and Floyd dropped it. It would have been the easiest pick Floyd will have in his career. Another guy almost had one in the 1st qtr too. The guy is absolutely awful. He should have 7 or 8 picks already lol. Ralph Webb also closing in on averaging almost sub 3 YPC. He had 32 touches saturday lol. ridiculous. 25 carries, 7 catches. They can take their shots at us all they want while they go 1-11. They'll get their ass beat in Neyland Stadium so let em enjoy the talking. They may have worse offensive tackles than we do. They made a switch and went to a true freshman saturday bc the other guy was getting killed. After what ive seen from MTSU and Houston theres no way they get both of those if any at all.

ok went looking up the Vandy game on stubhub the first thing that came up was their basketball opener. Which is also against Austin Peay. in November. sad. tickets are up to $4 now.

lol cant wait to see what their attendance looks like with austin peay coming in there. The entire stadium was red with UGA fans. I imagine this week it will just be empty.

I wouldn't be surprised if it looks similar to this.

It also appears their fans are finally coming to the realization of what direction our program is heading as opposed to theirs.

Well some of their fans; some of the responses show they are just as stupid as always. Like this one:

Let's not forget this is an Oklahoma team that no one is projecting for the playoff or even a conference championship. ut lost at home to the equivalent of a 4th best SEC team.

I still say they find a way to lose to Florida in the swamp and blow either Missouri or Arkansas. Those added to Alabama and Georgia take them to five losses.

While I don't think OU is that great of a team after seeing them in person, saying "nobody" projected them in the playoff or as Big 12 champs is definitely false. They had some pretty sizable pre-season hype and if they make some adjustments, it can still happen.

so they say we may have 4 or 5 losses......from where im sitting that sure is better than 10 losses which is what they are looking at. Amazing how ppl over there talk sh*t about others when they are the worst team in the league by a damn mile. Thats when you know they are truly miserable.

Well apparently now they are trying to find joy in Kentucky losing. THAT is how you know they are about at the rock bottom, when they are so bad that UK losing helps them.

7-5 still sounds much better to me than 2-10 or 1-11 with a completely dead program.

Our worst case scenario is that Butch continues to underachieve while stocking the roster, gets fired in Dec. 2016, and we're able to land a top-notch, proven coach. Their worst case scenario is that David Williams gives Mason another year to completely kill their program.
