The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

In reference to the WKU game:

"I think we will Vanderbilt them. They will stand toe to toe with us for the first half, maybe into the 3rd quarter. Then our depth will become a factor and we will pull away in a close one."

lol what? We will Vanderbilt them? What depth is this guy speaking of? The only thing they will do is Clemson them in that VU will lose a game they really should have won.

Vanderbilt them? As in act like you had the game in the bag but not show up at all and get embarrassed on your home field? See Temple, 2014.

Depth? Mason said they'll play 78-80 players every game. Why, they go "8 deep" at linebacker......and 5 deep at QB....at least that's how many they have on the roster, so we should expect to see all 5 by the 3rd quarter if ast year is any indication. Guess he figures if you just keep throwing 2 star players and walkons at WKy that they'll eventually wear em out?

how bad is it when your own fans are using your name to insult another team?

I don't think I have ever heard one of our fans say "They are going to pull a Tennessee" in a negative light. Which either means lose to a back up QB who has never seen the field before, or lose a game in the last seconds because of a situation that requires a change in the rules.

Vanderbilt them huh, so they are willing to admit that they will lose the game. Oh but not only lose the game but do it in the most embarrassing way possible, and after, blame the refs. Oh and also talk about how they don't care that they lost because if they had player X, Y and/or Z they would've destroyed the other team so thats why the scoreboard don't mater because it was a moral victory. After they are made aware that it wouldn't matter if they had all their best players they will comfort each other by boasting about how great WKU really is and how they only lost by X amount and every other SEC team would've lost by more, especially ewetee.

That is what Vanderbilting is right?

I've been to their forum recently and they are swallowing ever load of crap Mason is feeding them. He says they'll be pretty good, and those fans believe him for some reason.

hes a cocky guy

last yr he said" this team is more talented than my stanford teams". Then they got smoked by Temple. Dude is an absolute joke of a head coach. Has no idea whats going on. Real anxious to see him handle the Defense and the head coaching role at the same time during games.

Mason also thought Vandy was going to play like an SEC team just because they are an SEC team.

I think there's a strong possibility that he did zero research on the history of the program before taking over the job.

yeh that part ab being an SEC team was one of the most head scratching things ive ever heard at media days from a coach.

all i ever see from Vandy in the mason era is either mason, his players or someone on his staff blabbing off. They love to talk during the offseasons but theyve all been quiet during the fall.

1 week until the beatdown. 38-13 is my prediction.

If somehow vandy does win, I can't wait for the comical WE'RE GONNA BEAT JOEJAW threads on vm.

Poor souls:

WKU's Real Problem
9:11 AM
I am fairly pessimistic about the season. However, WKU has got a serious problem on its hands. It is playing a team with more talent (at least in most positions) that has its back against the wall. Unfortunately for WKU this game is being taken deadly seriously by staff and players. It reminds me a bit of the first Gulf War where the U.S. military had been constructed to fight the Soviets but was facing a second rate facsimile in the Iraqis. It was also determined to shed the failure of Vietnam. The result was a rout. That could happen in this game. Unfortunately for us, Jeff Brohm is not nearly as stupid as Saddam :)

Then again, I have this feeling that we're going to be really good. I've been watching quite a bit of Wisconsin last year and their offense did exceptionally well with what I thought was mediocre talent (with the exception of the TB). I really like what Ludwig did with that offense. His QB was not very good but he used him to do what he could do. He ran multiple sets with what I thought was very creative play calling. He even ran some option.

With the talent we have on defense that is going into its second year running the 3-4, I do see that we have the opportunity to be very good. If Franklin were here I would be very excited about a chance for a 10 win season. With Mason - well - not so much.

Poor souls:

they dont realize that Ludwig didnt play a snap for Wisconsin right? They dont have the O Line or the numbers at the RB spot that Wisconsin had. Not even close. Goodness. I mean its the same garbage OL without its best player, one 195lb RB, a terrible QB and MAC level Receivers. Even if their defense somehow was decent they are going to be on the field the entire game, every game. Hes been watching tape on the badgers huh? Sure they played a few decent games but they also played western illinois, bgsu, usf, Illinois, northwestern, iowa, rutgers and purdue. Vandy doesnt have that luxury. So yeh, of course his offense looked good against those teams. He also gave melvin gordon the ball 350 times (dont blame him). But i wouldntTry that in this league if i were you

a real post on their 247 board.....

"Johhny McCrary can light up a room and inspire the team with just his smile. He will be ready to kick some ass this yr" hahahaha

first off, the guy was garbage last yr, got benched against us and only played well against ODU. But dont worry, he has a great smile and gets along with the other players so he should be better this yr according to them hahaha. morons.

Ludwig has the pretty eyes and jmac has the smile. The SEC is in for it this yr.

Ludwig's eyes
McCrary's smile
Bowden's voice
Mason's brain

Yeah, we're screwed. Might as well forfeit that game.
