The Masters

Good Luck! There is a waiting list for Tournament tickets 20 years long. You can apply for practice day tickets at their website. Scalpers are almost non-existent because it is illegal in Augusta. They actually have undercover police working it, so beware. I went for 6 years as a media representative so security is tough.

being from the augusta area, I urge you to use caution in your quest for Master's tickets. I've heard many horror stories of scalping situations gone wrong and people getting assaulted or ripped off. I've been blessed to have badges from my grandparents for my whole life and usually get to spend Sunday at the National. It's a great honor.

I inherited them from my grandparents as well. Usually go every other year. It's cool to be there, but with HD now...it's give and take.

ill be there next tuesday for practice rounds.... only real way to go now it seems without spending a mortgage pmt to go.... it's lottery style.... just go in every year... I am personally 2 for 7 now... get 4 tix and just 40 each... but only practie rounds... but still awesome as you can bring in cameras and get some great tips from the players... honestly.... talked to mickelson couple years ago

I agree with Park. I love going to the practice rounds. The players are laid back and you can talk with many. Gary Player would always stop and talk to anyone willing to talk. I'd sit at 16 all day if I could and watch them skip it.

I was amazed the first time I went how courteous everyone is. You can leave your chair by the 18th green all day and it will be waiting for you in the afternoon. No gouging on concessions and pimento cheese sammiches to boot. What else can you ask for?

Yea reasonable concessions which is pretty uncommon. I think I tried every sammich they had except pimento cheese, not a big fan. Beer was reasonable as well. They gouge you in the gift shop though. Practice rounds are the way to go IMO. I'd rather watch the tournament on tv but the practice rounds at least let you experience it, something any avid golfer should do at least once. As for scalping, there were plenty of guys scalping practice round tickets when I went last year on a Monday. A friend I was with had an extra & sold it for $100 in about 30 seconds.

Good luck, 58. As everyone else has said, the only reason I was able to go was because of family inherited tickets. There is a long, long waiting list.

I've heard of reasonably priced tixs to the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. As previously mentioned getting a badge for the tournament is next to impossible.

It can be tough even for players...I have a friend who has played the last few years and He has to give so many badges to his sponsors that he doesn't have a whole lot left over. Of course winners get a lot more

My first trip to concessions consisted of four beers and a bbq sammich. Lady said "$10" (or something close to that, hard to remember for sure after having 16 beers) and I said, "the other 3 beers are mine too" and she said "yes sweety, I know". I knew at that point I was gonna spend alot of time in the concessions.

Going down there for the Monday practice round...for those that have went, do ALL the pros do the Monday round? I'm talking Tiger and Phil

Also, how early to get there? Any other suggestions?

I don't think Phil does on monday but Tiger does. Thing is with Tiger he will probably be making the turn when they open the gate.

Leave your cell phone in the car too. Anything like a bottle water or something can't have a label on it. Everything they sell has the masters on it. You will be allowed to take in a camera though.
