The MAIN reason we need to start looking for a new HC NOW

Is because there are going to be other schools in the SEC alone looking for coaches. We need to get our candidates in line before Arkansas and Auburn can get theirs.

On a side note - Why didn't we just hire an interm coach for a year like Arkansas did instead of panicking and giving a losing coach at a crap school a big contract? For all we know, Arky could already have their next HC locked up.

I don't expect Peterson or Patterson to be coaching at the same schools next year. One of them or Chucky is welcome in Knoxvile. Someone hook them up with a real estate agent pronto.

other teams coaching search has nothing to do with us. Arkansas has been looking for a year, they named an interam(sp*) coach for the year, or he knew it was a one year contract if memory serves me correct. So we are way behind.....

Still taking timeouts for too many men on the field is why we need to speed up our search.

I have been a Dooley supporter, and felt i had a decent argument for him...... until today!!!!

I am all about a WIN... It was the Squeak by TROY and giving up 720 yards that lost me!!!! I AM VERY PROUD FOR OUR PLAYERS THAT THEY WON, I HOPE THEY WIN OUT, INCLUDING A BOWL GAME... But if this game gave you faith in the coaching staff, you aint lookin for much....

What gives you reason to think Peterson is going to leave Boise next year?

I fully expect UT to finally open up the pocketbook and attempt to make a home run hire, like a Jon Gruden. He would be the kind of hire to attract the best players nationally. He has the credibility as a Super Bowl winning coach and offensive guru.

I watched a little of Louisville with Charlie Strong in the HC seat...unbeaten and they looked good. They would clean our clock.

And hopefully we'll get an equally exciting win over Austin Peay next year. We might even hold them under 600 yards and 46 points. :jpshakehead:
