Just finished it. Really great game.

I plan on making the second, much harder play through, but want to get a little taste of another game first

I don't see anyone talking about how incredibly well done this game is.

I have not beaten the game, but I'm about 40 hours in, and I have got to say that this game is nearly flawless in control scheme, graphic design (considering it's on the Wii), and story. This game is incredible and has dethroned OoT as my favorite of the series.

Sweet! Got it for Christmas, and can't wait to play it.

How long did it take you and did you do all the side quests?

I want to play it but I picked up 24: The Game for the PS2 for $3 and it's surprisingly good.

Finally started playing this game this week after I finished Dead Island. So far I'm only about an hour in.

I got it and am very excited to play it. Even comes with a CD of all Zelda songs.

Yeah it does! I took my Zelda cd out of the case as soon as I got it! ... And used it for a coaster. Seriously who would ever listen to that? I'd rather pay less for the game without the worthless cd

For some reason I just can't get into this game. I think it's mostly game burnout, as I flew through about 3-4 games before this, but I haven't played it in about 3 weeks and I only have about 3 hours into it, which means I'm starting at least probably 37 more.

To make it worse, Mass Effect 3 just came out and I really wanted to finish this game before tackling that, but also the new Silent Hill comes out this month and the new Resident Evil ORC game. I really want to get this done before I tackle all those but I'm not sure I can.

That's exactly why, you're burned out. Do something for abnegation (stuff where you do to relax but don't have to think too much: like coming home from a hard day of work and just watching a tv show you don't have to think too much about, or play some sports or racing games like madden, NHL, Mario kart, whatever) for a while (several days) to clear your mind.

Otherwise, if you keep going, you're going to have the same trouble/strain pushing through any more games - mass effect 3 included.

Same thing happened in the winter trying to get through Zelda, FF7, Arkham City, and infamous 2. Rest a bit or it's just going to become a grind.

Dear Lord it's a video game. Go take a walk outside or something if your burnt out. You shouldn't be stressed out about not finishing a freaking video game

Ummm who said anything about "stressing out"? I was merely commenting on how I can't get into the game.

Sounds like you're the one who needs a walk.

I need a beer. You need a video game intervention.

I don't think you understand what causes the need for an intervention; if I needed an intervention that would mean I can't stop playing, which I just described the exact opposite situation, that I can't get into the game enough TO keep playing.

Got the game for Christmas and finally finished it. It was a lot fun but I wouldn't say it's my favorite Zelda game of all time. The motion controls of the sword play is cool and the adventure pouch was a nice addition to the interface. I also like how you could upgrade items by collecting treasures and bugs. It was challenging at times (I didn't think I was ever going to play the harp correctly at the Lumpy Pumpkin) and too easy at other times. When you had to go to the sky and fly around distances it would get monotonous at times. I did like that you had to revisit the different lands repeatedly. Zelda games of the past rarely required you to go back once you cleared and area, not the extent this game did anyway. I'm considering playing the Hero mode but my video game time is so limited I doubt I'll have time.

So after finishing Silent Hill Downpour, Halo: AE, Mass Effect 3, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, and Resident Evil Revelations, I'm now back to Skyward Sword. And as of right now, it's the only game I own that I haven't finished so I now have no excuses.

Plus the next game I want, Resident Evil 6, doesn't come out for 3 and a half more months.

I'm just about to wrap up the hero quest. It's amazing how quick I've gone through it knowing where everything is. Hero quest is most challenging in the early stages because you only have 6 heart containers and each hit from the enemies takes 2 off. Plus hearts dont pop up randomly. Once you collect at least the first row of heart containers and get the heart medal so they start popping up in the dungeons again then it's pretty much back to normal except you will probably use more potions.

Tip if you are planning to go the 2nd round. Don't sell off your treasures or bugs before battling demise. In fact it wouldn't be a bad idea to go on a treasure/bug hunt and stock up. All of that carries over to the hero quest do you can upgrade your gear early on.

So for those of you that have beaten it, is having the Hylarian Shield a must to beat the final bosses? Because I'm very near th end of the game and I looked up that to get the shield you have to get through 8 bosses of the Boss Rush Mode. Well I've made it almost through 6 and I doubt I'll ever make it through 8.

It's not necessary, but it really doesn't hurt to have it. It's a shield you don't have anything to worry about ( as far as breaking).

It gets easier with practice...though partially what can help is the order you're dealt the bosses.

After about my 5th try I finally got through Boss 8 last night. So I have the shield. I still have some side quests to do but other than getting 2 more heart pieces I think I'm ready to tackle the ending.

When you go to battle Demise drop off your quiver, seed satchel, bomb bag, and all the medallions except the two life ones (if you haven't already). Get all your bottles back and load up on potion, particularly the Guardian potion and upgrade it.

Finished it about an hour ago. I found the last 2 final bosses surprisingly easy.

Overall a good game, but not the best Zelda game. I actually think I enjoyed Twilight Princess more. A bit too repetitive with the Spirit Realm levels and having to fight the Imprisioned 3 times. I also got a bit frustrated with motion controls at times.

I think the series has gotten a tad stale so I hope the next title on the Wii U they get creative like they did with Wind Waker. But a good way to pretty much close the chapter on my Wii.
