I've finished every canon Zelda game; which means I've never bothered with the CD-i Zelda games Nintendo licensed out. They are infamously horrible.

But I've beaten every NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and DS Zelda game. So yeah...I'll be getting this one. Which will probably be the last Wii game I buy.

wish I could play this on the PC or something. Its a shame I can't play the latest two games without buying a Wii.

Pre-ordered it a few days ago. My only wish is that there was an option to play with a regular controller.

Good lord you played those?

are there really any others on that list that would get that response?

Actually, I did play the one where you play as Zelda a long time ago when it was new. At one of the old Electronics Boutiques (before it was bought out by GameStop, heck before it changed to EB Games) they had a CD-i set up and that game in. It was a weekday morning and for some reason I wasn't at school, so I got to play it for about 30 minutes without interruption.

It was so bad I thought it was maybe just a prototype or demo, and I couldn't believe it was real. Plus it being CD-i, which was supposed to just be leaps and bounds better than the SNES or Genesis, I just couldn't believe how inferior everything about it was.

This has to be the least advertised LoZ game ever. What's the deal?

No one gets excited for Wii games. If it were on DS, you'd see it more.

Game doesn't come out till pretty much the month's end (20th)...it'll likely start to ramp up the next week or so but nintendo doesn't really do the whole "spend two months advertising to build up hype"...especially when it's something that's pretty certain to sell well (though expect it to be a ton of ad-space once it gets closer and is out)

But right now - at this point over the last month - nintendo has been stressing ads on the Kirby game that just came out as well as 3DS games (especially the new Mario game)

Well the partnership that was coming with Sony was supposed to be that much better...but that kind of fell apart last minute; the Phillips cd-I thing was (from what I read) a real last minute and poorly done deal overall

I don't see anyone talking about how incredibly well done this game is.

I have not beaten the game, but I'm about 40 hours in, and I have got to say that this game is nearly flawless in control scheme, graphic design (considering it's on the Wii), and story. This game is incredible and has dethroned OoT as my favorite of the series.

I would love to get this. I've not played a Zelda game since Nintendo 64, and I'm in the mood for one. But I can't justify buying a Wii just for this, especially since it uses the motion controls.

I've found a new interest in motion control with this game. Nearly flawless, and it lets you calibrate your 'aim' on the fly. You never have to point at the screen if you're doing something like lying down sideways on the couch thanks to Wii Motion Plus.

I bought the Wii last year in preparation for this game, and considering Wii's are dirt cheap, I'd say it's worth it. Best game of the series in my opinion.

Quick question:

There's no RPG elements in this, right? Like no xp building or money building? Just a pure adventure game? I don't have the time and I'm not in the mood to do any RPG grinding at the moment.

I love me some RPGs. My favorite genre. Just so burned out on them right now.

Has any Zelda game had xp since Zelda 2? I've played Zelda, Zelda II, A Link to the Past, and Ocarina. That's pretty much it.

No XP grinding but there is somewhat money building. I haven't played much but from what I can tell it's like most Zelda game; you have a ton of side quests you can do. You can chose to find every heart container, every collectible, every weapon upgrade, etc.

Some of the Zelda games I did everything, like Link to the Past (still my favorite Zelda game), Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess. Ocarnia of Time I got most of the extras.
