Has anyone out there read The Law by Frederick Bastiat? Here's a link to the entire book:
The Law
Bastiat was a French economist and statesman who wrote the book in the mid 1850s before and during one of several French revolutions in an attempt to convince his countrymen not to adopt Socialism as France's form of government. It's a must-read for all of you out there who can't seem to grasp why socialist policies, which are running rampant in America today, are evil. It's a perfect explanation of the purpose of law and government. And the entire thing might take two hours to read. For everyone who reads it, our country will be a little bit better off.
