You took it out of context. See VolDad's post above. After UF wins two national championships in a row, the only thing he can criticize them for is not having an undefeated team. Lets see, undefeated team, national championship team, undefeated team, national championship team. I'll take NC team.

You won't find me calling Urban Meyer a failure. You won't find me calling Kiffin a smashing success, either. Thus far, he's done well. That's pretty much it. Now, what are those teams?

I actually wouldn't have given you a hard time, but I was skimming and thought you were someone else. But yeah, "irregardless" doesn't really mean anything. The prefix and suffix sort of cancel each other out.

The rest of the world does laugh and bring ridicule at every turn Kiffin makes. We choose to trust him. Only time will tell who is right.

I'm not ready to make the leap that he is light years ahead of his time or that every apparent gaff has been intentional; but I do see, especially after the OTL segment, that he is willing to collude with the media in ways that we haven't seen before. I don't believe the man is just 'stoopid.' Again, time will tell.

you are a Vol fan, so you must have ignored not 1, but 2 different articles where Kiffen states that he is not 100% up to speed on all the NCAA rules... interesting

I highly doubt any coach in the NCAA is 100% on all the NCAA rules.

Although I don't subscribe to the 'Boy Genius' theory. I've seen enough to believe he's smarter than most give him credit for. Also, I don't think everything he's done has been planned, but I do believe some of it has. He's definately doing a little media manipulation to generate a 'buzz' if you will. Rick, even you have to admit Kif and his staff are some hardworking mofo's and that in itself is worthy of some respect. I don't like Urban, but he's smart, works hard and I respect that.

I dont necessarily think Kiffin is a genius. I think he is more intelligent than non UT fans want to believe. He has put together a very good staff and has done very well so far in recruiting. The media seems to love to talk about him. Every time there is some secondary violation they talk about that for days. I dont recall hearing about all the other teams secondary violations.
Kiffin seems to be making the best of the situation he is in.

We agree on the first two statements.

I'm shocked! This is the Volnation website. We don't want it sullied by the mention of other programs. I'm proud of those schools but they made me take a blood oath in order to graduate not to claim them in public. And if I did claim them, I've got some rabid Vol fans (sorry for the redundancy) at my office who are already suspicious I'm posting on "their" site, and I'd have to put up with even more mindless Vol conversation (sorry, more redundancy!) than we already do. Productivity goes to Hell every Fall.

I wonder in the future, if the NCAA and the SEC will change certain recruiting rules, directly because of Kiffin, and the way that we are turning all these situations with secondary violations, the internet, and the media into our favor........
