Seems like Dooley's last class and Fulmer's towards the end had more jukos than usual, and we know what happened after that. I hate seeing CBJ get desperate and mortgage the future by turning away good high school talent for a quick fix.

If this doesn't work out its just going to be that much harder for the next coach.

Juco's are a band aid.. this tells you that butch is gasping and reaching for something he wont achieve..

By what winning more games next year?

And some said he wasn't feeling any pressure to win.

That should have told him up front that is was a 3 year rebuild we were looking for and not a 6-7 year plan.

This staff has had next to no success with JUCO players. Other than Kamara, who they grossly under utilized/mismanaged, they've had very little success with bringing in JUCOs.

Were it not for Hurd's issues, we'd never have seen him at the level we finally did at the end of the season. Anyone with any football IQ would have told you at season's start that Kamara was better fitted to Butch's system than Hurd.

Kamara and Owen Williams are Scrubs. You're right.

Chuck Smith, Chris Mims, Dale Carter, Charlie Garner, et.al were all terrible.

Juco's are the worst nightmare.

Losers.

Given that players typically only have 4 years eligibility, every team is on a 3-4 year rebuilding plan.

This whole notion of 6-7 years to rebuild a team is only in the mind of Jones and was spin to make himself sound better plain and simple.

Adding a few JUCO players isnt a bad thing. Kamara has had a huge impact on Tennessee football and has been outstanding on and off the field since arriving.

We are looking for help at CB. This is one position we are looking for a JUCO. BTW, the JUCO (Nixon) is high on USCe - Muschamp wants him. He is high on Colorado State and being recruited by Terry Fair.
This JUCO deal is being blown way out of proportion, but that's VN.

It wasn't just Coach Jones that said that. Even before he was hired, most experts were saying it would take that long for Tennessee to get back to a level where they could compete for championships every year.

JUCOs are fillers to upgrade a team immediately. Majors was very good at finding JUCOs. It is all about evaluating the prospect. The one JUCO we are targeting for CB is starting to gain a lot of attention from many programs and it helps us that he and Kongbo played together.

Edit - Kirby Smart has now offered Nixon

That single fact makes me question Butch's judgement more than anything else.
