Are the AT&T droids from the same technology that the verizons are?

AT&T is garbage.

I have had Verizon, AT&T, TMobile, and Sprint. AT&T has been the best in service and my satisfaction by far over the others. I think it also has to do a lot with where you live. Didnt want to turn this into a carrier debate (we have had enough of them). I think with the Iphone coming to Verizon will be good for all Iphone customers in the long run.

I disagree

Great customer service. I switched over from Sprint just for the iPhone and absolutely love it, but I get dropped calls CONSTANTLY. And, it's it the middle of major cities/freeways not out in the middle of no where.

Usually when I call someone back and apologize for the dropped call, the number one response is typically "do u have AT&T?"

In the 3 years that I have been with AT&T, I have never had a dropped call. To be fair though, my work cell is through Verizon and I havent had a dropped call with them either.

From reading the article, sounded like there is still some disagreements between what Verizon wants, as far as control, and what Apple will give them. Will be interesting to see if Apple caves in or vice versa. Could open the door for more carrier control with the Iphone, which would be good imo.

They should pony up for current iPhone customers with discounts, upgrades, etc to make sure we dont bolt

The only reason that I wouldnt bolt, is that I am happy with AT&T and the data is cheaper where I am at right now. The only reason I get the unlimited for 30 is because I was grandfathered in. With the cap that AT&T has now with the Iphone data, could play a part in driving customers away. I cant remember though, does Verizon still have a monthly data usage cap? I thought they did, which is one of the reasons that I left Verizon.

Don't know. I am grandfathered in under the 30 too :)

The part of this that surprises me is that Verizon and Apple aren't trying to have this out by Black Friday. I suppose Verizon is willing to take the hit for the end of the year. Seems it would send the bnottom line through the roof.
