According to some internet rumors, a story is coming out about Fulmer in the Miami Herald on violations.........you guys do some digging and see what you can find. Also heard this is coming out on Sports Illustrated. Of course this would come out 3 weeks before signing day.

THIS IS JUST A RUMOR RIGHT NOW

The rumor was Fulmer has a guy in south Florida who is pushing kids from Florida into the Tennessee program, which is complete crap.

1. Why is the top player in Tennessee strongly interested in Miami, if not already verbally comitted?

2. This "street man", as he's come to be known, has also helped out The U and Florida State with their recruiting. So, first of all, he works with no certain person, and what he does is not a recruiting violation anyhow.

I'm just curious if Bama was getting too weighed down with stupid in their state and transplanted some across the gulf

As I said in another thread, the Gallion mantra is turning myth into reality. If you say something enough times, people start to believe it. UT is now a marked program - people will be looking for anything on us. I hope Fulmer recognizes this and is being extra squeaky clean.

Within the last 10 days, Bama has reported us for a "violation" that turned out to be fine and now Miami is digging. Add to that the Gallion stuff which will result in a wave of negative information (real or imagined) and we have a situation where UT will be portrayed as a program on the edge. The media loves this crap.

I wonder with ESPN's lack of any love for the Vols, if they would report the crap outta this... Like more than Ohio State.

Nothing to it, but the South Florida Media is trying to put out the preception that there is to keep the players at home, they seem to feel that its private territory and no poaching allowed unless they don't want the kid. Fulmer and UT aren't stupid and they aren't doing anything wrong. This guy and what he does has been investigated by the NCAA before and found to be above board with the kids interest 1st and foremost. Here are some schools that have benefitted from him.
Florida, Florida State, Miami, FL, Central Florida, South Florida, Georgia (who also contributed money to his program which the NCAA said was fine) and Alabama. There are others but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head.
Trooper knew who to talk to about the kids in South Florida and developed a relationship with him all legal and above board mind you to help and point Trooper in the right direction on recruits and to introduce him to recruits so to speak. Nothing Illegal there.
Most recruiting experts are saying there have never been as much negative recruiting against UT this year than any time in the past and its failing. Seems alot of programs are scared since Fulmer decided to start recruiting in the spring and hired Trooper.

Is it being reported by the South Florida Media? I am only seeing it coming from a certain message board trying to drive traffic to their site.

As I said on another post. Miami area has 3 5-star recruits and all 3 of them have TENNESSEE as one of their final choices.

Canes fans, and possibily the media, arent liking CPF raiding their talent. Theyve even went so far to accuse UT of being a racist school and we are all racist fans.

This is what they want these recruits to believe.

It is actually an article about the supposed "street agent" which has been said to be a non worry to Tennessee. The guy is in no way involved with the school. This rumor was started on the south carolina board so the "violation news" is non existant. The Vols have nothing to be concerned with.

I just left that USC board. The guy who made the last post that I read said he had called the Miami Herald and asked about the story that is supposed to come out tomorrow. FWIW, The Herald told him there was no such story.

I was wondering the same thing....I mean are they color blind? Aren't like 75-80% of our players black? They just need to come out of the trailor park down there and worry about their own program...same thing goes for Bama

Funny thing about all this is it was started by an Admin on a South Carolina Board

I find it very funny that a guy posted this on the MAIN PAGE of his SEC forum. Must be extremely desparate for traffic.

I actually found where this started...it was by a poster, probably a Bammer, on volquest. The USC guy picked it up from there...and well, now we are here talking about it. Funny how rumors become truth.

Man, this is just like high school. Now if only we could find that Fulmer has been sleeping with Larry Coker's wife. Now that would be good!

UT is not racist. It actually sounds the other way around... that the Miami folk are.... Calling people "hillbillies" and "in-breds" is just as racist as any other name-calling.

Here is some trivia.....

The first african-american fooball player in the SEC? Lester McClain, Tennessee

The first african-american head basketball coach in the SEC? Wade Houston, Tennessee

This is all just a bunch of bologna; typical media off-season crap.

Anyone who claims UT is "racist" has no credibility from the start, so I refuse to even comment on the rest.

Guess if you start beating up on other inferior teams, they have to try SOMETHING. Just like I told the Bammers, how 'bout recruiting, coaching, and practice? Hmmmm, novel concept.
