Some of this has been covered in the War in Ukraine thread but we are just beginning to see the repercussions of these leaks.

First point - the reaction of the government certainly points to confirmation that at least some of the leaks are real.

Interesting (non-Ukraine) tidbits:

1. Hungary considers the US one of it's top adversaries. It appears closer to China and Russia than us; it's fellow NATO member

2. Israeli security forces organized political and citizen opposition to Netanyahu's judicial reform.

3. Egypt helping Russia (okay a bit Ukraine related).

Crazy that this stuff was floating around for so long before it came to a head.

The government continues to be a shizz show.

My observations:

I think the leaks are real and the documents are real. However, with regards to some of their "intel" with regards to Ukraine, they are relying heavily on information that the Kyiv regime is giving them. This is nothing new. Back in 2015 or so when Jen Psaki was the State Department spokesperson, she got blasted in one of her daily conferences by a reporter for admitting that the info they were getting was coming from Ukrainian social media.

Basically, we don't have diplomats and we don't have intelligence officers.

Who can blame Hungary? They are a landlocked country in eastern Europe. These suicidal energy sanctions are detrimental to them if they are cutoff from Russian energy. Shipped LNG isn't an option.

Who can blame Egypt? Egypt was the first domino to fall in the Arab Spring uprisings that spread regime change operations there, in Tunisia, Libya and eventually Syria.

Shizz show is putting it nicely.

I haven’t read any of it. Feel like posting more on the Israeli Intel?

I think one of the biggest items in the leaks was finding out what China considers to be their Red Line after which they would fully aid Russia. Basically any Ukraniane strike in Moscow would mean China becomes a fully involved belligerent in defending Russia.

I like when they play up the “secure facility where you can’t take cell phones or electronics”.

I spent four years in a command post. Everyday we had to drop off our cell phones and we had to take the cell phones of anyone who came in (high ranking officers included).

Yet none of the classified information we encountered was even remotely interesting. Minus the level of intel we’d receive after an attack at Bagram. “It was this person, who’s affiliated with this group, they used these specific missiles that they got from this place”.

Serious question whether this is an attempt by the intel community to seed a "leak", much like they did with the idea that a rogue Ukrainian group blew up the pipeline.

US officials to arrest Air National guardsman linked to Pentagon classified documents leak

Federal law enforcement is expected to arrest a 21-year-old Air National guardsman on Thursday who they suspect is involved in the leak of hundreds of classified documents from the Pentagon.

Multiple reports have identified the leaker as Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, with his arrest to occur sometime later on Thursday in Massachusetts.

A Washington Post report indicated that the man who leaked the documents, known as "OG," allegedly worked on a military base and brought home top secret documents. The group he shared the documents with was reportedly about 25 members, invite-only, and made up of both U.S. citizens and foreigners, created during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Don't tell me they are infiltrated with these leftists.

Don't know, so won't tell you. But the leaker, based on the profile description of him, is a loner, gun-loving, stick it to the USA government fellow. Smells very strongly of a rightist, Putin fan traitor.

Y’alls side had the last two troublemakers in the news, so it sounds about right that someone else does something now.. although it is murdering people vs sharing classified documents with your gaming buddies (or having it in your garage or on your server)..oh, yeah Pepperidge Farms remembers.. he’s going to be in big trouble though (but did y’all ALL of these people are in the same age range)???? (Except for the old folks)
