If you look at the context of the comment, it's obvious he's saying Bruce WAS a young coach when he got blacklisted because of the Illinois incident. He was an assistant at Iowa at the time, and about 28 years old....

Funny considering he was blacklisted and frequently says he appreciates UT taking a chance on him.
