For starters 90 percent of Volnation feel we will curb stomp UF pretty much every single year now that they hired Mullen...if they are right this is huge in itself. Secondly the admin is going to have to go after Frost ,Campbell, venerables, or just tab Cutcliffe. He can win here as here's a great offensive mind and always has been. He's probably got 5 years left to coach before he retires he would be great hire when many say no one will want this job anymore....Good news is it's not that bad GOVOLS!!!!!!

I don't like the idea of Cutcliffe but, maybe he could get Tee here as OC and possibly as the future HC in waiting.

Better to keep Hoke with Tee installed as OC and future HC. We don't need a retread to replace a retread.

LOL!!! What does volnation know?! We couldn't "curb stomp" UF when they had muschamp or mcelwain, while everyone else was, why are we all a sudden going to with Mullen?

This fanbase is unbelievable!!!

We could have if Mike Hamilton and Dave Hart had hired decent coaches instead of Derek "Deer in the Headlights" Dooley and Lyle "Botch the Call" Jones.

Yeah didn't Ole John tell a recruit he'd have a coach here by the 10th or there would be a new AD.. Yeah clock is ticking John.. Should probably just resign now...

And a significant percentage of VN really believed Gruden was in play. An average coach with the Florida recruiting pool will beat UT regularly. Even without yesterday's embarrassment, there is nothing in the UTAD or its top benefactors that suggest good decisions are about to be made here.

1. Not happening. Never was
2. Probably Nebraska bound
3. Arkansas seems to be in play here
4. We'd be the laughing stock of the sports world if we brought him back now, after what happened yesterday
5. We can only hope

Florida had 4 win seasons in 2013 and 2017 and UT was still a win each time. Now that they've hired a good, proven head coach, UT will finally start beating them. Makes sense.

Those that think this are youngsters and should stop posting on here until they have matured to the point that an opinion as stupid as this never enters their mind.

After all that has happened, Norvell is looking better all the time but he has strong Arizona State ties, OC there for several years, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him go there. His offense is PAC10ish.

That's kinda the point 3rd&Chavis was making.

When UF makes a bad hire (Muschamp/McElwain), UT makes a worse hire (Dooley/Jones).

When UF fires a coach under a cloud of controversy, UT says "hold my beer" and completely botches its next hire even worse.

UT's leadership can't get out of its own way. It's almost seems like they're attempting to ruin the football program on purpose.

Wait, you mean we’re not already the laughing stock of the sports world after yesterday? Actually, after Saturday? Shoot, after the last 10 years!

Hyams said this morning that Norvell isn’t in play because of something in his background! lol I didn’t think UT checked on things like that!

Don't waste time explaining what makes sense, the fact that it has to be explained tells you enough. Just let them live in their "what if" fantasy world

I am starting to think Haslam is doing it on purpose. Think about it he has pushed for worse hires in school history......and basically thrown his donations around to get what he wants.....no one is that completely stupid to hire the coaches we have and try to win championships.....

It all goes back to the question posed in the thread discussion over which job is better, Florida or Tennessee.

If both schools were equal in terms of location, history, facilities and success on the field, and both were in the market for a new coach, which school would you trust more to make the better hire?

UT’s leadership is a case study in poor management.

Mullen immediately becomes the best coach in the East and now has access to an equal or better talent pool than Smart. I see no good news at all for UT in Mullen to UF.

I don't think UT has had any good news in a hell of a long time. Dooley was correct about one thing" There is a dark cloud hanging over Knoxville".:rock:It's like we are cursed for getting rid of Fulmer. :hi:
