yup, that entire bear family is really making their mark in the entertainment industry. Have you seen any Charmin Tissue commercials lately?

Heck yeah, I am all for it.

Any who, is any one not going to see this movie because of the supposed religious bashing?

No. I'm 25 and have no kids so I would feel weird seeing that movie. That being said even if I did have kids they would not see it.

Haven't read a lot on it cause really I don't care, if people want to make the movie, good for them. If people go see it good for them.

But I'm a Christian, I am not however a freak or whatever label people choose to use. I love movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Departed etc. However any movie that might even hint at spitting in the face of the church, Catholic or Protestant, I have no desire to see.

As I said I really don't care much one way or the other. If I did I would look at the facts to figure out what was the deal with it and decide for myself. But since I have no kids and no personal interest I really don't care about it.

You have to care a little bit, you have invested a few posts on the topic.

The movie does not intrest me but I have read all three books. While I disagree with the beliefs in the book Mr. Pullman is a very good writer. The book is well written and anyone who enjoys a well written book should pick it up, if you can seperate your own beliefs from the book. With that being said, I would suggest to any parents who are Christians, read the books with your kids. The books could confuse come kids. As for the movie, I have heard it is a watered down version of the first book.

Honestly, if I had a young kid and saw the movie with them, if they could explain to me what it's really about rather than how much they liked the bear in it, I'd consider myself lucky I have a gifted child.

I've never read any of the books and don't really care to.

God forbid anyone challenge Christianity. Some groups take themselves much too seriously. It's a movie, it's entertainment. To not see it because of the genre is one thing but to totally dismiss it on that premise is just a bit silly.

you mean you can actually make up your own mind and think for yourself? You have the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality as you see it? surely not, i didn't know man had such capabilities.
