Seriously? We have every expectation that we are better than 50/50 to win tomorrow. After that, there is no reason we cannot go 10-2. Only KY stands in our way and we SHOULD win that but its no given. Who knows, we could pull off a miracle and win against the bubbas or dawgs too. That of course is not as likely.

Bottom line, until tomorrow - everyone here should be having at least reasonable confidence that we will be 10-2 at the end of the season, BASED ON WHAT WE HAVE SEEN ON THE FIELD OF OUR TEAM AS WELL AS OUR COMPETITION. Thats the key. Its not only how well we are playing but how well (or not so well our opponents are doing).

So with that, I have no idea why many in this thread would be penciling in LSU as a loss on the eve before the game. That is just plain stupid based upon their play and ours so far.

Getting to play LSU with a kick off time of 11AM is a blessing for us.

The 4-0 Vol’s next 5 games are the gauntlet

LSU – 25th

Alabama – 1st

UT Martin

Kentucky -13th

Georgia – 2nd



Missouri

South Carolina

Vanderbilt



Let’s say the Vol’s go 2-3 in these next 5 games and are 6-3 going into Missouri. With 3 probable wins coming at the end of the season that would be 9-3. I picked the Vol’s to go 8-5 this season. There is a very real possibility that the Vol’s go 10-2 this season. I know that some people on this site picked 10-2 but deep down I have to wonder if they really believed the Vol’s could actually do it or were they just “Swinging for the fence”.

Raise your hand if in January of 2021 you said to your buddy “You know I think the Vol’s will be 10-2 in the 2022 football season” NO, put your hand down you did not say that, you probably dreamed it. This is an incredible turn around for this program. We could be like the Corn Huskers who were a perennial power that fell and have still not gotten it right.

If the Vol’s do go 10-2 Josh Heupel has to be a serious contender for coach of the year. I see another raise coming in his future.

Go check my post history I’ve been screaming it since day 1 of off-season we had the formula to be a really good football team in 2022… a few reasons led me to truly believe this was possible… Coach heup preaches the right stuff he is an excellent leader and he got the team to fully buy in and that is the most important step… 2 his is X and O offensive guru that is never relaxed the nature of his offense and style is always attacking so there is no chance for relaxing and getting comfortable… 3 6th year Qb in year 2 of a system he executed at an elite level without a complete offseason as the starter Along with a lot of experience and weapons returning… staff continuity on both sides of the ball let me know that improvements were highly likely… all of what I expected is happening and Tennessee has made me alot of money already this year… this team will be prepared and play hard every single week and that’s all I can ask for as a fan the Wins and Losses will take care of themselves especially with elite Qb play…
