The 4-0 Vol’s next 5 games are the gauntlet

LSU – 25th

Alabama – 1st

UT Martin

Kentucky -13th

Georgia – 2nd



Missouri

South Carolina

Vanderbilt



Let’s say the Vol’s go 2-3 in these next 5 games and are 6-3 going into Missouri. With 3 probable wins coming at the end of the season that would be 9-3. I picked the Vol’s to go 8-4 this season. There is a very real possibility that the Vol’s go 10-2 this season. I know that some people on this site picked 10-2 but deep down I have to wonder if they really believed the Vol’s could actually do it or were they just “Swinging for the fence”.

Raise your hand if in January of 2021 you said to your buddy “You know I think the Vol’s will be 10-2 in the 2022 football season” NO, put your hand down you did not say that, you probably dreamed it. This is an incredible turn around for this program. We could be like the Corn Huskers who were a perennial power that fell and have still not gotten it right.

If the Vol’s do go 10-2 Josh Heupel has to be a serious contender for coach of the year. I see another raise coming in his future.

I've said it from the beginning of the year...watch out for us to drop that Mizzou game.
We're either depleted from beating UGA, or depressed from a beatdown and are in a funk.

Still a 9-3 year is a PHENOMENAL step up in year two !!!

Here was my honest prediction coming into the season. 10 win regular season is a real possibility. 10 wins (including a bowl win) would be a phenomenal season as well.

10-2 is a borderline miracle, considering the circumstances. I picked 10-2, but almost everything would have to go perfectly. I had the baseline of what should be considered an average and expected season at 7-5. Anything less is a bit disappointing. Anything more is a success.

LSU is a 7-8 win team at best and so is Kentucky

EVERY YEAR in the SEC is a "GAUNTLET". Top to Bottom: The SEC is the toughest Conference in football. It is a brutal schedule. --Some teams tend to hold steady year after year. Some teams just have one or two "special" years (followed by some down-ones, too). But every year is TOUGH!

Not that I would want this -- But, If Tennessee was in the ACC, it would be a much easier ride to the top every year. Next up: Texas & Oklahoma.....

hey with they way Alabama and George have been playing it could be wide open for us....gotta remember this is not a butch or pruitt team.....that's now long gone culture had changed etc....

Double or nothing we don't lose to Mizz under any circumstance.

I’ve had that UT Martin game circled since the spring. Toughest opponent we will have all season 😁
