I figured Boswell and Cade might've followed Gainey or go somewhere else ,,,but why is JP going? I'm getting nervous.

Teams that don't have the pedigree to naturally recruit bigs have to overpay in order to acquire one. Having a competent 6'11+ center is a necessity to compete, especially in the B1G 10.

You also have to consider injury history which affects our willingness to put out a bid that competes with those other programs.

I mean yeah we will miss JPs little jump hook but when you score 8 on one end but give up 12 on the other it’s a net loss and he was benched multiple times this year for being a net loss while on the floor.

I love JP and his passion....but his skill set just isn't anywhere close to elite material. He has really weak hands. He loses more rebounds and loose balls then I can keep up with. I hate losing his heart....but I definitely think we will upgrade in this roster spot. I do hate losing Carey for some reason. I think he would have been a bigger factor next year.

Glad we could develop him for three straight years and work through his injuries. Just enough to send him somewhere to play healthy and end up All Conference. HS recruiting must be one & duns or player coming to develop for a RS year it seems. Errbidy else gon leave before they can really impact a team. 🤷
