...is that the Mods over on Volquest don't know Jacksh*t...and their members are giving them heck. Like their $9 a month entitles them to know before Currie makes the announcement. :eek:lol:

So the paying members on Volquest don't know jack, but the non-paying members here already know enough to call for Currie to be fired. Interesting.

The funny thing about all the secrecy over the new coach hiring is... that it makes for so much speculation, facts, and Grumors! You can book it!

Hamilton search was a lot more public and people knew who the top people were. This time not a darn soul except Currie has ANY clue. This board along with actual journalists have not the slightest clue. I know just as much info as Rucker or you know just as much as Brice.

I remember that lots of people thought kiffin would be the dream hire. People watching plane tracking websites and there was slot of people who thought/ hoped he would be coach. I could be wrong though it was like 8 years ago.

My nephew is a paying member and I found out it was Petersen before he did.

Although I just decided myself he was the guy and told him is was a done deal.

Kiffin was never the front runner. He was like the 6th choice. He wasn't even the first choice among USC assistants.

Keep up.....I was talking about the UT job.... not the USC job. For the UT job he was the first choice.....I don't even think he was in the top ten for USC

Keep up. I was talking UT as well. There were a handful of coaches who turned down interviews and/or offers before LK got hired.

Bull! Currie could provide his entire itinerary. The speculation would be even worse, because three quarters of the people would doubt it and work harder making up their own twist to the plot. If he shows them a mole hill, they will swear it is a mountain. If he gives an inch, they will take a mile.

If he tells them nothing, they will run around like an idiot you put in a silo and tell them to crap in the corner.

Hell, Hamilton was so public he had coaches publicly announcing they were not interested before he had time to call them.

Wes Rucker just said on the 11:00 WBIR sportscast that Mullen and Frost are on the coaching list for sure and that he thinks a new coach could be named within a 7 to 9 day window that begins now. He also praised Currie for running a very secret search.

I'm thinking he is going against the grain with a Stunning Hire that No One Expects - If he Hires Will Healey of Austin Peay he will either be the Smartest Man in the World or Run Out of Town in a Couple of Years..

I’m thinking Petersen or Leach in the now but should The impossible happen and Gruden be announced it’s going to be hilarious on an epic level observing the reactions of all the conservatives who’ve never seen a ufo or a conspiracy theory that seems credible standing there with their mouth open in full surrender cobra.
