The Fall of UT football: how, when, why?

If we had the Caddy in 04 we are undefeated is ridiculous. First of all we could not go undefeatd with two true frosh. QB's. Not to mention the Caddy was very good, but he was also very overrated.

I think I agree that having Cadillac in '04 would have made us go undefeated is a bit of a stretch. That year we already had two 1000 yard runners. We also still would have had two freshmen qb and Rick Clausen, and two freshmen corners.

Of course, there is no way to know what Cadillac's impact would have been on recruiting. Would we have had better players for that '04 team? Who knows. What we do know is we would have still had Fulmer, who (I believe) cost us any chance of winning the 04 sec cg by running Ainge out for the last play of the first half against ND even though we were on our 20. One screwed up shoulder later, we're starting Rick Clausen.

But maybe with the Caddy you aren't looking for desperation points against the Irish and the injury never happens....see?

I think Griff hit every single point you just made except for the one about Sanders.

Agreed. Also nothing in armchair's post alludes to poor writing, unless he calls writing he doesn't agree with poor. The article was poorly proofread.
