Ole Miss winning the tournament proves it isn't the best team that wins these things, often. It's the team that is hottest at the moment. Ole Miss had a marginal season at best. But they had a great tournament run. The fact that the number one seed hasn't won in 23 years means that the tournament championship means a lot less than it should.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if LSU buys every elite transfer on the market this off-season and tries to buy a title. Word is they lead for both Paul Skenes and Thatcher Hurd in addition to already landing Tommy Tanks and Christian Little.

I think they’re a little tired of getting embarrassed the past few years and are finally slinging around that dough as one of the few programs who is willing to part with football cash and spend it on baseball.
