If we had to replace our head coach right now

I would want Butch Davis to come in and clean our house like he did at Miami.

Howard Snellenburger (SP) got it all started at Miami and those that came after him just kept it going. Snellingburger is still doing it at Fla Atlantic I hear. Butch Davis is a quality coach however and would improve most programs. Now that your brinking up some NFL types, I'm surprised we haven't heard Kippy Brown's name mentioned.

butch davis is the type of coach that would be here 4 years and find another job. He's an opportunist. I prefer a coach to be here 10 plus years. He burned alot of bridges in Cleveland and ran his ass out.

We don't want to be 6-6 every year. We have higher standards than Alabama.

That was under NCAA sanctions...thanks to bedfellows Fulmer and Kramer. Shula and company have been on the job a little more than 2 years and have gone from "cellar dwellar" to tops in the SEC and that's with 8 less scholarship players than the maximum allowed. You don't call that excellent coaching? Having quality players helps too but you can't tell me Tenn has fewer quality players than Bama.

seson isnt over yet - Bama can still have a collapse plus they still have the meat of their schedule coming up. Dont let the Florida game fool you. Florida is not that good meaning we are pretty bad. :)

You call Shula being 15-15 tops of the SEC?
My Bama's standards are poor!!

No, we don't have fewer quality players than Alabama, and we don't have as many losses either.

Last I checked...
Tenn - 3 and 2
Bama - 5-0
and I'm calling competing for the SEC Championship...maybe National, "tops in the SEC". I'm not saying we'll win it all but we are competing...if you can't see that as great coaching, what is it? On the flip side Tenn lands a "top 5 recruiting class" every year...what is your excuse for being 3-2? If Fulmer and staff are so great and Shula and staff are "losers" why is Bama 5-0? :D

Umm how about this excuse. Usually unless you need the depth or have a very special player, you won't see much of that top 5 class the first year.

Probably because we have played the #3, #4 and #7 teams in the country and Bama has played Arkansas, MTSU, South Carolina, Southern Miss and yes, you did beat Florida...I'll give you that.
