The difference between Tennessee and other states

actually talkin to allthese titans haters, saying the titans are nothing to the state of tennessee, and ut vols only reason most people like them,is because it has the name tennsee in it,correct, and the same for the tennessee titans, lol, correct.and if ur a braves fan u must be a milwakee braves fan,if they go that route, lol.of saying the titans isnt nothing but the nashville oilers.

No one said all that, but okay.

The Vols represent the students and the state, paid for by themselves. The Nashville Oilers are nothing more than a business who relocated here because, for whatever reason, our taxpayers were willing to build them a stadium. As soon as the Oilers feel like they need another stadium built for them, they'll hold the state and Davidson County "hostage," threating to move. As soon as the Vols need additional renovations to Neyland, they'll raise the money or do without. See the difference in loyalty there?
whats this then.

Probably closer to, LOVE their Dawgs and like their Falcons.

closer, doesnt matter and georgia isnt that big like tennessee, knoxville is right next to nashville, and as lon as your in the state doesnt matter how far it is,thats why they built states back in the 1700 and 1800's.:hi:

<<< look under my username. I'm in east Tn. and I love the Titans and the Braves almost as much as the Vols.....I watch the Vols on Sat. and the Titans on Sunday....and the Braves most every game they play.

i know im on your side i been posting with these people for 3 pages, and they just keep saying that the quote nashville oilers, not tennessee titans are not loyal to the state of tennessee like the vols.

Nashville - Knoxville - 179m

Atlanta - Knoxville - 213

34 miles; not a lot of difference.

it started over me saying that the reason why some people are not loyal to the vols, that live in tennessee,is because could be same reason that all these vol fans are on the manning colts band wagon in the state of indiana, instead of helping the tennessee pro team build.

I like Peyton and the Colts too as long as they're not playing the Titans..:p

why dont ya like nashville at all its country music usa,and now the pro team stadium is there.u think we like that the university of tennessee college team is in knoxvile, way east up north, instead of in nashvile or murfresboro, right in middle of tennessee, and the state capital.thats were tennessee vols should be located.

Georgia is full of GA Tech, Bama, Auburn, UT, and UF fans. See the “special interest” categories for license plates.

Georgia is actually significantly larger than Tennessee...

The Falcons are actually the 5th least popular NFL team, they're only fairly popular among Atlanta residents... unfortunately most Atlanta residents are from other parts of the country where they had already developed a favorite NFL team... and I assure you, states weren't built to provide any sort of cultural ties they were formed because of issues of sovereignty between the federal and state governments with the intent of providing relative autonomy to preexisting territorial/colonial governments.

And seriously, its 3 hours from downtown Knoxville to downtown Nashville... I used to drive at least once a week. Less than 3.5 hours to Atlanta too, as I live in Chattanooga... attended UT, and have friends in Atlanta. I've done both of those drives more times than I can remember.

Feel like I should also mention that if you bypass Chattanooga via Dalton Pike, you can knock another 30 minutes off the Atlanta drive.

Dude, he even gave you a link to google maps. Look it up for yourself. Atlanta isn't in the middle of GA, Macon is. Knoxville is "right next" to Nashville like Montgomery, AL is "right next" to Pensacola beach. If you want more proof, here you go:

You can't drive from Knoxville to Miami in 13 hrs, unless you are driving 100mph. I used to live in Tampa and it takes 12 to get from Knoxville to Tampa. No way is it only 1 more hr driving from Tampa to Miami.

12 hours to Tampa? You must drive really slow. I have made it to Orlando in about 8 and a half.

I know that mapquest isn't always exactly right, but you should take a look at that. It says that knoxville to miami is 867 miles and 13 hours and 34 minutes. From Knoxville to Tampa is 670 miles and 10 hours and 26 minutes. As some perspective, it also says Chattanooga to Orlando is 557 miles and 8 hours and 42 minutes. I made the same drive over the memorial day weekend in about 7 hours and 30 minutes. I was speeding a bit but not too excessively.

This is where i got that chart btw.
