Yes because ECU and USC are equivalent jobs. A lot easier to say that as opposed to if he had received a BCS school offer

I got no problem with Kiffin leaving. Its the manor in which he left and his inability to shut up that I have a problem with

No, ECU isn't USC, but it's a much better program than MTSU and definitely an upgrade. He also used to be the o coordinator there, so he has ties to the program and still chose to stay with MTSU. I think that says a lot about him. He obviously has a lot more integrity than Kiffin, which was my point.

This. If Stockstill gets a chance to jump to his "dream job" (BCS School) there is no doubt he does it.

That's not saying much, although I do like Stockstill. Him jumping to ECU would have been jumping up a "half a step". He can continue to improve Middle's program and get much better offers in a year or two, at which point he will leave.

This was still an upgrade for him and could have paved the way for a "dream job" but he didn't take it. Not all coaches jump ship as easily as Kiffin.

I guess I'm just bitter because I'm an MTSU alumni and I find it sad that their coach has more loyalty, considering the level of the programs when compared. He's done a good job with them so far, and I'm sure he'll stick around a few more years at least.

it might not look like a big deal but he would have received around a 700,000 pay raise. around 300,000 now to around a million. I think it says a lot that he turned it down.
