Read were all the buyouts to the old coaching staff, new coaches, Currie and all his mistakes could coat UT Fifty (50) Million dollars. At first I thought that was way out there, but then look at the number of people involved and the law suits, court cost it could go way beyond that. This just keeps getting better and better!!!!!

Haslam donated 50 million in 2014. Maybe he will do it again for this cause since most of it is probably his fault anyways.

They may have to keep the current staff until all this clears up. That is - if the current staff will stay.

He could probably do that with money skimmed from the rebate scams and not even have to dip into his personal fortune.

Most on the staff still have a year left on their contracts. Unless someone reaches out to hire them(highly unlikely) they're going to be here.

Get real. After this the Haslam will probably never donate another dime to Tennessee.

I certainly hope that's the case. We want a scheming, fraud of a con artist associated with our school? Telling our admin who to hire? No. We certainly should hope he's gone.

Pennies in the long run. Stop thinking that Tennessee is some small time program. We are getting ready for 340 million dollar expansion to Neyland.

Anyone want predict how this can get worse? Every time it looks like we have reached the bottom we discover that this rabbit hole only goes deeper.

If an internal civil war really is going on, don't worry about the cost.

It's a battle for Tennessee's soul. Worry about who comes out on top. The HoH, who has overseen the greatest fall in Tennessee history, or the Anti-Haslams, who want to get us back to winning.

It's nowhere near that amount of money but if it was it's a pittance. The program brings in >$100 million per year, $50 million in the long run is a pittance. Lots of people finance $200k houses making only $60k or $70k per year, understand how it works now?

Do we have a say? I wouldn't. But who are we? Oh yeah. The crazy picketers who caused all of this. Let them tell it.

Guarantee Currie doesn’t get his buyout and we don’t pay Schiano one thing.

3 Words.... “Duty to Mitigate”

That’s why we won’t be paying Butch or Currie near as much as people think. And I still don’t think we will end up paying Schiano anything. If I was in charge, I would make Schiano sue for it. He doesn’t want to do that (bad for his career).

PR nightmare for UT. The media loves Greg S and this is fuel to the fire to trash us. We can't win in this situation.

So you just want to cancel all other sports - including mens and women's basketball??

To clarify the $80 million was profit from the football program. The UTAD made a lot less than that - if I remember it was in the 10 to 15 million range when all sports were accounted for.

If you take from the $80, you cancel other sports.

The UTAD last year just barely made enough to cover the buyout for the coaching staff.
