More than likely Butch just simply couldn't find an OC who was agreeable to running his scheme.

Which is the problem -- he's going to have to cede control of his scheme.

That right there is the biggest hindrance to getting a good OC. Any OC worth their pay wants to run their offense with their guys. That limits you to hiring has-beens, second chancers, or promoting from within. Which is exactly how Butch has hired his current and past OCs.

Whoever is hired to revive the offense needs to be given the keys and install an offense that will work with the talent we have -- not stick to some mid level conference offense that has taken its toll on the team -- I think it's a contributing factor to the number of injuries we have

New coach, new schemes and let Butch do what he does best -- sell the program with his slogans and rah rah
