Yeah, I looked up the play and he did get clobbered after the LT whiffed (and he stood there a long time) but the "fumble" popped up in the air and they called it an INT. Also, seemed like it was at our 10 yard line but it was at the 30. Either way, game was over at that point. So ugly.

JG has been given plenty of chances, if he hasn't improved greatly then it is time to move on. It clearly isn't working with JG as the QB.

Pruitt himself said that the 1's held the ball too long in the O&W game.

It wasn't ignorant. I hope jg has improved on getting rid of the ball quicker, if not, and he still starts, I predict 5 or 6 wins. I hope he will be much improved.

I’ve never argued that JG is a top tier QB on a national or even SEC level. But he’s certainly not the source of our troubles offensively and did well last year with what he had to work with. Every other QB on the roster has had ample opportunity to unseat him, yet he is still in command, so that says something about the abilities he does have. We have had Oline problems for YEARS and Dobbs was skilled enough to mask them with his playmaking ability. JG does not have that specific skill set, but few QBs do which is why Dobbs is on an NFL roster. So your straw man argument doesn’t work here because JG supporters like myself have never argued that he is a elite QB, just that he’s the best we have right now and is not the source of our problems on offense.

But you dont really know what the other two qb can do. They have not taken one snap in a real game. If we cant score points with jg then at least try someone else. With that said I hope we can score with jg, I hope he has improved.

Idk, if Pruitt didn't pull the plug on him last year with a grad transfer I very seriously doubt he does this year with a redshirt freshman and true freshman behind him.

I see where you are coming from and you are probably right. But I feel if we stick with jg and no improvement we may not make a bowl game this year. I just hope to see improvement

Thank you. Not sure how I missed it. Tied with about 60 other players with 4 fumbles on the year, many of them QBs. It’s not a huge problem

Receivers should be open by scheme in the quick passing game. Using different route combinations to attack specific defensive alignments should be our focus. Receivers aren't going to beat their match up and get separation every play.

Good question. I don't know if it is automatic or if the stat keeper tries to assign blame. I suspect the latter but do not know for sure.
